  • Patent number: 10115612
Abstract: A manufacturing method for a vertical cavity surface emitting laser includes steps of forming, on a substrate, a multilayer body including first and second Distributed Bragg Reflector layers, an active layer, and a to-be-oxidized layer becoming a current constriction structure, processing the multilayer body such that a lateral surface of at least the to-be-oxidized layer is exposed, and forming a current constriction structure by oxidizing the to-be-oxidized layer from the lateral surface thereof after the multilayer body has been processed. The step of forming the current constriction structure includes steps of holding the substrate to be positioned along a uniformly-heated plate that is placed on a heat conduction member, and to be spaced from the uniformly-heated plate, and heating the substrate by radiant heat from the uniformly-heated plate by heating the heat conduction member.

  • Patent number: 9446499
Abstract: A truing device is supported so as to be elastically movable in the Z-axis direction, which is parallel to a grinding wheel rotational axis, and elastically movable in the X-axis direction in which a grinding wheel cuts into the truing device, and includes a movement restriction device that controls prohibition and permission of elastic movement. The method includes: causing a surface of the grinding wheel to contact the truing device in the X-axis direction; and correcting a shape of the grinding wheel when the grinding wheel cuts into the truing device until the amount of elastic movement of the truing device in the X-axis direction reaches a first predetermined amount, by controlling the movement restriction device to prohibit elastic movement of the truing device, and thereafter causing the grinding wheel to further cut into the truing device in the X-axis direction by a second predetermined amount.

  • Publication number: 20160193756
Abstract: There are provided a microstructural material allowing a concavo-convex pattern of a mold to be imprinted thereon by hardening a pattern formative layer through an unprecedented method, and a fabrication method thereof. A PTFE dispersion liquid is used in a pattern formative layer 2a forming an imprint section 2, thereby allowing such pattern formative layer 2a formed on a concavo-convex pattern of a mold 5 to be hardened when irradiated with an ionizing radiation. Accordingly, the fabrication method of a microstructural material 1 of the present invention employs an imprinting method allowing the pattern formative layer 2a to be hardened through an ionizing radiation R, which is completely different from a thermal imprinting and an optical imprinting. That is, the pattern formative layer 2a can be hardened, and the concavo-convex pattern of the mold 5 can thus be imprinted thereon, through an unprecedented method.

  • Patent number: 8850582
Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to provide a security monitoring system and a security monitoring method which is capable of a quick operation when an unauthorized access, a malicious program, and the like are detected, while the normal operation of the control system is not interrupted by an erroneous detection. The security monitoring system 100 obtains communication packets in segments 3 which constitutes a control system 1, and extracts a communication packet which has a characteristic value different from a normal value among the obtained communication packets to generate communication event information 150. The security monitoring system 100 predicts a degree of influence on the control system 1 by the communication packet extracted as the communication event information 150 by verifying the communication event information 150 with event patterns which indicate characteristics of the unauthorized access and the like.

  • Patent number: 6923713
Abstract: A cylindrical grinder includes a workpiece support section adapted to support a generally cylindrical workpiece and rotate the workpiece about a rotational axis, and a wheel head adapted to support and rotate a grinding wheel. The wheel head is moved relative to the workpiece support section, along a first direction parallel to a rotational axis of the workpiece and along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction in order to grind an outer surface of the workpiece. The wheel head is turnable relative to the workpiece so that a rotational axis of the grinding wheel can be tilted within a plane substantially passing through the rotational axis of the grinding wheel and the rotational axis of the workpiece, within a range extending across a reference plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the workpiece. Further, link-type parallel link mechanisms for moving the grinding wheel are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20040198205
Abstract: A solid fats and oils is impregnated in an air space of a stone matrix, as lubrication particles, of a grinding stone. The fats and oils is melted out of the air space to a peripheral surface of the grinding stone to lubricate friction between the grinding stone and a workpiece and to create a space again in the air space of the stone matrix. The created space can perform to receive a cutting tip and to discharge it. The melted lubrication particles lubricate friction between the grinding stone and the workpiece to restrain a generation of heat in order to reduce a grinding resistance. As a result, it restrains a loss of grinding particles on the peripheral surface of the grinding stone to keep a high quality of the grinding characteristics of the workpiece and to extend a truing interval and a life of the grinding stone.
