The color-revitalizing composition, which has a color determined by the color of the oxidative hair dye composition and contains at least one direct dye, revitalizes the color tone originally obtained by after dyeing with the oxidative hair dye composition.

Abstract: A mirror for checking dyed hair color has a mirror and a colored filter formed on part or the whole of the surface of the mirror. The colored filter is formed such that the color of the reflected image of hair from the colored filter is the same as the dyed hair color for when the hair has been dyed with a particular hair dye. By using this mirror for checking dyed hair color, it is possible to easily predict hair color after dyeing for any given initial hair color, thus making it possible to easily select a hair dye for obtaining a desired dyed hair color.

Abstract: A composition for hair treatment comprising at least two compositions (A) and (B) that are kept separate until application and that upon mixing increase in viscosity while generating heat, wherein one composition (A) comprises an essentially anhydrous mixture of a physiologically compatible salt that generates heat when mixed with water, and at least one thickening agent, and composition (B) comprising at least one polyalcohol that is liquid at 25.degree. C. and is selected from the group consisting of polyethyleneglycol, polypropyleneglycol, glycerol and diglycerol and, optionally, additional hair conditioning. A process for hair treatment, wherein composition (B) is first mixed with water and then blended with composition (A), whereby, while generating heat, a viscous gel develops that is applied onto the hair where it provides an enhanced conditioning effect due to improved penetration at higher temperature.

Abstract: A tinting shampoo with an efficient and gentle cleansing effect and improved color absorption which contains at least one direct dyestuff in a water-based surfactant mixture comprising at least an anion-active surfactant in a proportion of about 5 to 35% by weight, especially a mixture of sulphosuccinate and a lauroyl sarcosinate, 0.5 to 10% by weight of a surface-active amine oxide, and about 2.5 to about 15% by weight of an alkyl polyglycoside, and, optionally, about 0.5 to about 10% by weight of an amphoteric surfactant and (or) about 0.5 to about 5% by weight of a further non-ionic surfactant.
