  • Publication number: 20040157479
Abstract: A press-fit portion (24) of a press-fit pin (22) is constructed by cutting and outwardly pushing a band-like region (24a), which is placed in the vicinity of the widthwise center of a pin material, in one of orientations of the thickness direction in such a way as to project from peripheral regions (24b) of the band-like region (24a). At that time, the thickness dimension (W3) of the press-fit portion (24) is set to be equal to or less than that W1 of a pin body (23).

  • Publication number: 20040065472
Abstract: A cable arranging structure for exchanging electric signals between a pair of printed circuit boards comprises at least a pair of electrically conductive members adapted to arrange the cable between them over the entire length thereof. The electrically conductive members show an electric potential substantially equal to that of the ground. Such a structure requires only the two electrically conductive members to be rigidly secured so that radiant noises generated by the cable can be effectively suppressed by means of the structure without the need of deforming the cable.

  • Patent number: 6670546
Abstract: There is disclosed a thinner-layered radio wave absorber having high absorption performance for a high frequency electromagnetic wave. The radio wave absorber, even when having a magnetic layer of not more than 1 mm in thickness, achieves satisfactory absorption characteristics for the high frequency electromagnetic wave by adopting a structure that a conductor is fixedly attached to a face opposite to an electromagnetic-wave incident face of the magnetic layer of single-layered structure, and also arranging the magnetic layer to have values of a real part &mgr;′ and an imaginary part &mgr;″ of complex relative magnetic permeability of the magnetic layer satisfying an expression of &mgr;″≧m&mgr;′−n (m: real number of m>0, n: real number of n≧0) outside an impedance mismatching region.

  • Publication number: 20030059608
Abstract: A method for producing a magnetic particle forming a magnetic material for absorbing electromagnetic waves comprises the steps of mixing an organometallic complex or a metal salt with a chain polymer and dissolving the mixture in a solvent (step S1); raising the temperature of the mixture to reaction temperature (step S2), carrying out a reaction at the reaction temperature (step S3); and forming the magnetic particle having a structure that the periphery of each fine particle formed from the organometallic complex or the metal salt is surrounded by the chain polymer and recovering the formed magnetic particle after the reaction (step S4). The magnetic particle has a nanogranular structure to become a magnetic material for absorbing ectromagnetic waves. Such a magnetic particle is produced by a wet reaction. Thus, a larger amount of magnetic particle can be produced by one reaction.

  • Publication number: 20030021496
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a movable image-capturing printed circuit board including an image device, and a controlling printed circuit board which is fixed to the image reading apparatus and which controls the driving of the image device. Both printed circuit boards include connectors. When electric connection is established between the connectors, signal transmission and reception is performed. The connectors are connected only in a predetermined position. This can eliminate the need for using cable wires. Thus, a simplified structure can reduce emission generated by using cable wires to transmit a driving signal for the image device and a read image signal.

  • Patent number: 6181571
Abstract: A printed-wiring board is incorporated into an electronic device housing constructed of a conductive member, and has a ground pattern. A metal plate having a size equal to or larger than the printed-wiring board is disposed in a position facing to the printed-wiring board. The metal plate has a characteristic impedance corresponding to an electric characteristic and a relative position to the printed-wiring board. A connecting member electrically connects the ground pattern of the printed-wiring board to the metal plate, and includes an impedance element having a value substantially equal to the characteristic impedance between the printed-wiring board and the metal plate. An occurrence of radiant noises caused by standing-waves etc. is thereby prevented.

  • Patent number: 6016084
Abstract: A ground pattern of a printed circuit board of an electronic instrument is connected with a conductive part of a housing of the instrument by a series combination of components respectively having the inductive nature and capacitive nature, or by a series combination of components respectively having the resistive nature and capacitive nature, or by a series combination of components respectively having the inductive nature, capacitive nature, and resistive nature. In this way the impedance can be adjusted against frequency so as to be ready for the frequency where the standing wave appears, the resonance frequency of LC series circuit, and harmonic frequencies of electric current flowing on the circuit board. In another arrangement, the ground pattern of a printed circuit board is connected with the conductive part of the housing of instrument through a plurality of separate connection paths with different impedances.

  • Patent number: 5834977
Abstract: An amplifying circuit according to the present invention has an amplifying unit for amplifying an input signal to produce an amplified signal, a battery for generating a constant voltage (a first voltage), a step-up converter for always generating an increased voltage (or a second voltage) by increasing the constant voltage, and a selection changing circuit for supplying the increased voltage to the amplifying unit as an electric source voltage when a level of the amplified signal is higher than the constant voltage and supplying the constant voltage to the amplifying unit as the electric source voltage when a level of the amplified signal is lower than the constant voltage. Therefore, because the electric source voltage supplied to the amplifying unit is changed according to the level of the amplified signal, a loss occurring in an electric power consumed in the amplifying unit can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5442974
Abstract: A fitting groove 46 comprised of a first groove 48 and a second groove 50 is formed in a holder connected to an operation knob. As a pin 54 of a shaft 52 is inserted in the fitting groove 46, the shaft 52 is connected to a holder 24, i.e., the operation knob. As a result, even in a shift-lock state in which the axial movement of the shaft 52 is prevented, it is possible to carry out without trouble the operation of selecting a shift position N, D, or 2 by the rotation of the holder 24 as well as the operation of selecting a shift position L involving the rotation and axial movement of the holder 24. In addition, it is possible to set a multiplicity of shift positions which are selected by the holder 24.
