  • Publication number: 20100056601
Abstract: Conventional control agents against acarians parasitic on animals do not have sufficient selective toxicity and are hence not safe for the animals to which the control agents are applied. The control agents are not always satisfactory also in control effect and quick-acting properties. Intensive studies were made on the insecticidal activity of N-substituted indole compounds against acarians and on the safety thereof for mammals including pets. As a result, it was found that an N-substituted indole derivative, e.g., 1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethylthio)indole, or 1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-3-(dichlorofluoromethylthio)indole, has high insecticidal activity and quick-acting properties and is lowly toxic to mammals including pets.

  • Patent number: 7649543
Abstract: A head moving mechanism includes a head connecting member, a contact member, and a linking mechanism. An LED array head is attached to the head connecting member. The contact member is movable in the vertical direction, and the linking mechanism moves the head connecting member in the vertical direction in association with the vertical movement of the contact member. When a process cartridge is mounted to a main casing, the contact member contacts the process cartridge and moves upward. This moves the LED array head toward a photosensitive drum. On the other hand, when the process cartridge is pulled out from the main casing, the contact member moves downward, moving the LED array head away from the photosensitive drum.

  • Publication number: 20080094022
Abstract: An insulation-resistance degradation detecting device capable of selecting one of a plurality of motors and detecting its insulation-resistance degradation. A power source unit is connected with a plurality of motor drive amplifiers which drive two motors, individually. The motor is selected by selecting means, and a contactor S1 or S2 is turned on. When a smoothing capacitor C of the power source unit reaches a predetermined voltage after an electromagnetic contactor is turned off, contactors SW1 and SW2 are turned on, whereupon one end of the smoothing capacitor C, contactor SW2, resistors R1 and R2, contactor S1 or S2, coil of the motor, insulation resistor Rx of the motor, grounds G2 and G1, contactor SW1, and the other end of the smoothing capacitor C form a closed circuit. The voltage of the smoothing capacitor C is applied to this closed circuit. A potential difference across the detection resistor R1 is obtained and compared with a reference voltage to detect insulation-resistance degradation.

  • Patent number: 7085424
Abstract: A method and system for compressing motion image information, which can compress data that can be subjected to predictive encoding. An image within a frame is divided into blocks before an inter-frame compression procedure begins, and each block is approximated with a single plane represented by at least three components for pixels within each block. Pixels between the original image and the image expanded after compressed can be compared, and when a pixel that causes greater difference than a given parameter to occur exists, intra-frame compression is performed using a smaller block size. Furthermore, when the respective I blocks, which are spatially divided, are dispersed between each frame along the temporal axis, no I block is inserted into any block within the frame that has been updated due to difference between frames being greater than parameter P during a designated period of time.

  • Patent number: 6912318
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for compressing motion image information by means of predictive coding with a high compression ratio while maintaining high image quality. An image in each frame is divided into blocks in advance, and each of all blocks is approximated by (replaced with) a single plane defined by three data representing the magnitude of the intensity of the block, the block-to-block gradient of the intensity in the x direction, and the block-to-block gradient of the intensity in the y direction. Furthermore, corresponding pixels are compared with each other in each block consisting of n×m pixels between frames, and differential information is generated according to the comparison result. Pixels indicated as being not greater than a parameter is treated (deleted) as pixels having no difference between frames. Information compression is performed for pixels indicated as being greater than the parameter.
