    Abstract: A second roller set is disposed separately from a first roller set in one direction of the conveyance direction, and includes an intermittent roller that generates, during one rotation, a conveyance enabled time of contacting the card and conveying the card and a conveyance disabled time of not contacting the card and not conveying the card. A third roller set is disposed separately from the second roller set. A reference guide wall receives abutments of a first end portion of the card and arranges a position of the card in the width direction at a reference position. An urging guide wall urges a second end portion of the card toward the reference guide wall by a first urging force. A support wall regulates a movement of the reference guide wall toward the urging guide wall at a position serving as the reference position.

    Abstract: A superimposed transfer target film and ink ribbon is moved while being sandwiched by a thermal head and a platen roller, and during execution of a thermal transfer of thermally transferring ink of the ink ribbon to a transfer layer of the transfer target film by heat of the thermal head, the transfer target film is pulled and moved while leaving a sticking portion in which the ink ribbon sticks to the transfer target film by the heat. After the thermal transfer is ended, the transfer target film stops being moved, is enabled to be loosened, and a downstream portion of the ink ribbon is wound up and stretched while leaving the sticking portion sticking to the transfer target film. While leaving the downstream portion of the ink ribbon stretched, a downstream portion of the transfer target film is wound up, and the sticking portion is peeled.

    Abstract: An image printing apparatus having high quality image printing capability due to minimized registration errors is provided. The image printing apparatus has a thermal head 18 and a platen roller 15 which is shorter in its circumference than the length of a pro-cut print medium 2 to be printed. An image is printed on the print medium by transporting the print medium and a ink ribbon 23 between the thermal head and the platen roller. A pair of clamp rings 3, 3 are rotatably and respectively provided approximately along both sides of the print medium, and each clamp ring has a circumference being same to or longer than the length pre-cut print medium, and has an internal gear 3b1. A clamper 5 is installed to connect the clamp rings together, and rotates with the print medium being clamped thereby. A capstan roller 7 is installed between the clamp rings and connected to a drive motor 8 to rotate constantly.
