    Abstract: A calibrated crystal warm-up method that can include determining the number of clock cycles of a crystal clock reference signal from a crystal oscillator occur during a single clock cycle of a low-power oscillator. Further, the determination can occur when the crystal oscillator is warmed up. The method can also include comparing a number of clock cycles of the crystal clock reference signal with a previously determined number of clock cycles of the crystal clock reference signal to indicate whether the crystal oscillator is warmed up. Further, the method can include counting the number of clock cycles of a low-power clock reference signal have occurred up until the time it has been determined that the crystal oscillator has been warmed up.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system are disclosed providing improved paging procedures in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, a Power-down Registration signal is transmitted via a 1×RTT modem from an Access Terminal (AT) to an Access Network (AN) in a wireless communication system that includes both a 1×RTT modem and a 1×HRPD modem. The Power-down Registration signal conveys information to the AN indicating that a power-down process has been initiated by the AT, and thereby enables the AN to discontinue transmission of signals and messages to the AT that are not effective when the AT is in an off-state.

    Abstract: System and method for handling multiple connection requests between an Access Terminal (AT) and an Access Network (AN). The method may include receiving a first connection request. Connection request information regarding a number of connection requests may be updated based on receiving the first connection request. If there is not a currently active wireless connection, a connection may be established between the AT and the AN. If there is a currently active wireless connection, a notification may be sent indicating that the wireless connection between the AT and the AN has been established. A connection release request may be received. Accordingly, the update connection request information may be updated based on receiving the connection release request. If there is not a currently active wireless connection, the wireless connection between the AT and the AN may be closed.
