The method performed by a server system includes accessing a historical transaction dataset including transaction attributes from a database. Method includes generating a set of key performance features for each merchant of the plurality of merchants based on the historical transaction dataset. Method includes determining a set of hyper-parameters including an epsilon value and a Minimum points (MinPts) value for a clustering machine learning (ML) model based on a K-nearest neighbor (KNN) plot generated based on the set of key performance features for each merchant. Method includes generating via the clustering ML model, a set of merchant clusters based on the set of key performance features for each merchant and the set of hyper-parameters. Method includes labeling each merchant cluster as one of a first merchant class and a second merchant class based on a classification threshold.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide methods, and systems for facilitating a payment transaction utilizing a pre-defined radio frequency allocated by an agency to a merchant. A user may open an application provided and maintained by a payment network on a user device and input the pre-defined radio frequency associated with the merchant. The payment network server is configured to establish a secure radio frequency connection between the user device and a merchant server of the merchant. Post establishment, the user may proceed to make a payment transaction to the merchant by choosing a payment method and authenticating his/her identity. The payment transaction is authorized by an issuer of the payment account and is forwarded to the payment network server. The payment network server is configured to fetch acquirer information of the merchant account and process the payment. Post completion, a confirmation message is sent to the user device over the secure RF connection.

The payment network server receives a transaction request for a transaction that is initiated by way of the transaction card. Instead of the actual card data, the transaction request includes a first proxy dataset as an identifier to the transaction card. The payment network server accesses the mapping database and retrieves the actual card data mapped to the first proxy dataset. The payment network server then communicates the transaction request having the actual card data to an issuer of the transaction card. The issuer processes the transaction based on the actual card data.
