Abstract: A gasket 102 for an Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) connector 100 comprising a first conductive part 104 including a plurality of spring tabs 108, a second conductive part 106 including a plurality of spring tabs 108, wherein the first conductive part 104 is configured to engage a first connector piece 110 and the second conductive part 106 is configured to engage a second connector piece 112, wherein the first conductive part is configured to engage the second conductive part when the first connector piece 110 is attached to the second connector piece 112, and wherein the spring tabs 108 are configured to electrically connect the connector 100 to an EMI shielding cage.

Abstract: An electrical connector comprising an insulative housing having a top, a bottom and two sidewalls interconnecting to form a mating face at one end and a rear face at another end and whereby there is a mating slot formed at the mating face for receiving a complementary connector; a first set of contacts mounted in a first set of channels incorporated at the top of the insulative housing and a second set of contacts mounted in a second set of channels incorporated at the bottom of the insulative housing; and a shielding device located between the first set of contacts and the second set of contacts.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an electrical connector comprising an insulative housing having a longitudinal base with a first side and a second side. Extending from the base at the first side is a tongue portion having a first tongue section and a second tongue section, both sections having a first face and a second face. A plurality of passageways are defined on the first faces of both sections. Each of the passageways has a recess located at one end and a plurality of conductive contacts are received in the passageways. Each contact comprises a mating section, a mounting section and a retainer section bridging the mating section to the mounting section whereby the mating section of the contact is free to flex into the recess. In another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an electrical connector having a socket extending from the base at the second side.

In another embodiment, the contacts are grouped into first, second and third sets of contacts positioned in the first, second and third tongue sections respectively. In another embodiment, an interconnect system having at least one electrical connector coupled to two electrical connectors is described.

Abstract: A connector for connecting with a serial ATA socket is described, the socket having end walls and an indent in each end wall. The connector has an insulated elongated member, the member having a first wall, an opposite second wall, first and second side walls and an insertion end. A plurality of contacts within the insulated elongated member extend in the direction of the insertion end. A locking member is located at least at one side wall for securing the connector to a socket. The locking member comprising a latching finger attached to the side wall. The latching finger extends in the direction of the insertion end of the insulated elongated member. The latching finger has a ridge directed towards the opposite side wall in the extended portion of the latching finger.

Abstract: A connector for connecting with a serial ATA socket is described, the socket having end walls and an indent in each end wall. The connector has an insulated elongated member, the member having a first wall, an opposite second wall, first and second side walls and an insertion end. A plurality of contacts within the insulated elongated member extend in the direction of the insertion end. A locking member is located at least at one side wall for securing the connector to a socket. The locking member comprising a latching finger attached to the side wall. The latching finger extends in the direction of the insertion end of the insulated elongated member. The latching finger has a ridge directed towards the opposite side wall in the extended portion of the latching finger.
