  • Publication number: 20240110457
Abstract: A stand-alone packer has a compressible packer element having an upper end and a lower end disposed about a packer body. A setting sleeve is disposed about the packer body above the compressible packer element. A packer stop having a flat annular upper face is positioned on the packer body below the compressible packer element and a sliding sleeve is disposed in the packer body and detachably connected to the setting sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20240026753
Abstract: A stage cementing tool for a wellbore comprises a tool body defining a flow port in a wall thereof. The tool body and wellbore define an annulus therebetween. A setting sleeve compresses a packer element as it moves from the first to the second position. The packer element expands radially outwardly to engage the wellbore as a result of the compression applied by the setting sleeve. A pump-out plug in the tool body is expellable into the annulus upon the application of pressure in the tool body after the packer element engages the wellbore.

  • Patent number: 11739611
Abstract: A single sleeve, multi-stage cementing tool for cementing in a wellbore can include a tool body, an outer mandrel, a flow port for providing fluid communication transversely from the inside of a tubing string into an annulus, and a port plug. The port plug is located within the flow port during first stage cementing such that the cement flows into the annulus from a bottom of the tubing string. The bottom of the tubing string can be closed after the first stage, and the port plug can be released from the flow port by increasing pressure within the tubing string. Second stage cementing can then be performed such that the cement flows into the annulus directly through the opened flow port. After all cement stages have been completed, a closing sleeve can be shifted to close the flow port.

  • Publication number: 20230092656
Abstract: A valve housing has a first flapper moveable from an open position in the housing in which two-way flow is allowed to a closed position in which only one-way flow is permitted. A first collet sleeve is moveable from a first position to a second position in the valve housing. The first collet sleeve in the first position retains the flapper valve in the open position. The collet sleeve is moveable from a first position to a second position which allows the flapper to move to a closed position.

  • Publication number: 20220049576
Abstract: A valve assembly has a housing defining a flow passage therethrough. A first flapper is disposed in the housing. A first sleeve retains the flapper in an open position. At least one lock ring holds the first sleeve in a first position. A tripping ball engages a plurality of disconnected bodies in the sleeve and a force is applied to move the first sleeve from the first to a second position.

  • Patent number: 11199071
Abstract: A buoyancy assist tool has an outer case with a rupture disk assembly connected therein. The buoyancy assist tool defines the upper end of a buoyancy chamber in a well casing. A sleeve in the outer case traps the rupture disk membrane after it has ruptured to provide full bore flow through the casing.

  • Publication number: 20200378216
Abstract: A downhole tool. The downhole tool may include a tubular body and an inner sleeve that is slidable within the tubular body. The tubular body may include a port that allows fluid flow between a bore of the downhole tool and an area outside of the tubular body. The downhole tool may be sequentially positionable in a run-in position that blocks fluid flow through the port in the tubular body, then in an open position that allows fluid flow through the port in the tubular bod, and then in a closed position that blocks fluid flow through the port in the tubular body.
