Patent number: 9414151Abstract: A speaker system includes a speaker cabinet that has an opening, a first speaker including a first diaphragm, and at least one acoustic tube opened at both ends. When an amplitude of vibration of the first diaphragm vibrated by applying a correction AC signal together with the first AC signal to the first speaker is equalized to the amplitude of vibration of the second diaphragm, a sound pressure reproduced by vibration of the first diaphragm is equal to or lower than a sound pressure reproduced by vibration of the second diaphragm of the second speaker. This is accomplished by applying a third AC signal having a frequency equal to or higher than a minimum resonance frequency of the closed type cabinet determined by the internal volume of the closed type cabinet and the caliber of the second speaker is applied to the second speaker.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2015Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: PANASONIC INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CO., LTD.Inventors: Sawako Kano, Toshiyuki Matsumura, Shuji Saiki

Patent number: 7477755Abstract: A speaker system according to the present invention comprises a cabinet (10), a speaker unit (11), a first parting board (12), a drone cone (13), an adsorption member (14), a second parting board (15), a backboard (16), a variable mechanism (17), and a port (18). A sound pressure generated by the speaker unit (11) causes a pressure variation in a second chamber (R12) via the drone cone (13). The adsorption member (14) with an effect of physical adsorption is operable to suppress the pressure variation. Furthermore, by displacing the diaphragm (171), the variable mechanism (17) is operable to reduce a pressure variation of a direct current component, which is caused by variations in ambient temperature or atmospheric pressure of the speaker system.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2005Date of Patent: January 13, 2009Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Shuji Saiki, Mitsukazu Kuze, Toshiyuki Matsumura, Sawako Kano

Patent number: 7463747Abstract: A loudspeaker unit (2) of a loudspeaker system (1) is fitted to a cabinet (4). An absorbent (3) is disposed in a hollow chamber (R) inside the cabinet (4) and absorbs a gas inside the hollow chamber (R). A phase inverting mechanism (8) inverts the phase by resonating with a sound of a specific frequency radiated from the loudspeaker unit (2) into the hollow chamber (R) and radiates this sound to outside. The watertight means of the phase inverting mechanism (8) prevents invasion of moisture into inside the hollow chamber (R) from outside the cabinet (4) through the phase inverting mechanism (8).Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2005Date of Patent: December 9, 2008Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Mitsukazu Kuze, Shuji Saiki, Sawako Kano, Toshiyuki Matsumura
