A control method includes, in a case in which execution of a replacement mode is instructed, displaying information for prompting removal of the first liquid reservoir unit, displaying information for prompting attachment of a different second liquid reservoir unit from the second liquid reservoir unit attached to the second attachment portion, to the first attachment portion, and supplying the second liquid to nozzles that discharge the first liquid when the different second liquid reservoir unit is attached to the first attachment portion.
