    Abstract: An image capturing apparatus includes an illumination member to selectively provide a target reference to guide placement of the target within a field of view of an image capturing member. The illumination member may illuminate the at least one reference guide pattern in an illumination-on mode. The illumination member may also disable the target reference by not illuminating the at least one reference guide pattern in an illumination-off mode.
