Abstract: A seal and slot assembly for sealing joints between casings of a turbomachine including: a first slot in a first casing flange; a second slot in a second casing flange, wherein a joint is formed between the first casing flange and second casing flange and the first slot overlaps with the second slot; a chamber formed by the first slot and second slot, and a seal in the chamber and configured to slide with respect to at least one surface of the first slot and the second slot due to gas pressure in the chamber.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system consisting of reusable components for implementing data warehousing and business intelligence solutions. The reusable components comprise a data model component housing an exhaustive pre-built vertical and business function specific data models and key performance indicator libraries. The reusable components further comprise a MetAL component which serves as a key repository of all mappings between all standard source data systems and vertical function specific data models and KPIs used in the data model component. Being compliant with Common Warehouse Metamodel, the system is extraction and reporting tool neutral. In other words, the technical and business metadata can be exported to any of the CWM compliant extraction and reporting tools. The system further consists of an algorithm to automatically detect version changes in the standard source systems.

Abstract: Sensor devices, and analytical methods using them, employing a detector protected from direct contact with samples being examined by a membrane made of a polyurethane modified with a non-ionic surfactant. The detector is preferably an electrode of conventional type (e.g. plantinum metal, optionally with pseudo, counter or reference electrodes) but especially an enzyme electrode. The surfactant may be incorporated into the polyurethane by admixture or by reacting chemically with the polyurethane, and is preferably a condensate of ethylene oxide with a compound containing a hydrophobic moiety—especially with a hydroxy-compound, e.g. an alkylated phenol, fatty alcohol or a sorbitan ester. Conveniently, the polyurethane membrane may contain up to 20 parts per 100 of polyurethane and be up to 10 microns thick, and formed by dip-coating an electrode. Measurements, using electrodes, may be made amperometrically.
