Patent number: 11846732Abstract: A light detection device detects incident light according to a detection start timing. The light detection device includes photosensors, a signal combining circuit, a detection circuit, a time measurement circuit, and a timing extraction circuit. The photosensors receive light to generate output signals indicating light reception results, respectively. The signal combining circuit sums output signals from the respective photosensors to generate a combined signal. The detection circuit detects a timing at which the combined signal reaches a first threshold or larger to generate a detection signal. The time measurement circuit measures a count period between the detection start timing and the detected timing based on the detection signal. The timing extraction circuit extracts timing information from a predetermined period defined by the detected timing as a reference, the timing information indicating a timing at which the combined signal increases.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2019Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: OMRON CORPORATIONInventors: Masanobu Horino, Yuki Matsui, Ken Nakamuro, Sayuki Nakada

Publication number: 20210011140Abstract: A light detection device detects incident light according to a detection start timing. The light detection device includes a plurality of photosensors, a signal combining circuit, a detection circuit, and at least one time measurement circuit. The plurality of photosensors receive light to generate output signals indicating light reception results, respectively. The signal combining circuit sums a plurality of output signals from the respective photosensors to generate a combined signal. The detection circuit detects a timing, at which the combined signal is maximized after the detection start timing, to generate a detection signal indicating the detected timing. The time measurement circuit measures a count period between the detection start timing and the detected timing based on the detection signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2019Publication date: January 14, 2021Inventors: Masanobu HORINO, Yuki MATSUI, Ken NAKAMURO, Sayuki NAKADA

Patent number: 8950896Abstract: An illumination apparatus includes lenses, a first casing that has a radiation plane provided with annularly arranged windows for attaching the lenses, respectively, independently, and that has an opening at a position opposite to the radiation plane, and a first substrate associated with each of the lenses and accordingly disposed. The first substrate has at least one light emitting device mounted thereon. The first casing includes a holding portion associated with each of the windows. The holding portion each permits the lens to be attached to the first casing from a side thereof having the opening and also restrains the lens from moving through the first casing toward the radiation plane, and when the lens is attached to the first casing, the lens has an optical axis in a direction having a predetermined angle relative to a center axis of the first casing.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2011Date of Patent: February 10, 2015Assignee: OMRON CorporationInventors: Naoki Nishimori, Akira Matsui, Rie Masuda, Jun Ota, Sayuki Nakada, Shingo Inazumi

Patent number: 8714771Abstract: An illumination apparatus includes an elongate chassis, a plurality of light emitting devices, a plurality of lenses, an elongate populated board, an elongate holding member, and a heat radiation member. The chassis includes a supporting portion supporting the opposite, longer-side ends of the populated board and a first engagement portion fitting and securing the holding member to the chassis. The holding member includes a plurality of second engagement portions fitting and securing each lens to the holding member and a resilient biasing portion resiliently biasing the longer-side ends of the populated board toward the supporting portion. The populated board is pinched and secured by the resilient biasing portion and the supporting portion and the heat radiation member is sandwiched and thus secured by the populated board and a bottom wall in contact with the populated board and the bottom wall.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2011Date of Patent: May 6, 2014Assignee: OMRON CorporationInventors: Naoki Nishimori, Akira Matsui, Jun Ota, Sayuki Nakada, Rie Masuda, Shingo Inazumi
