Abstract: The invention relates to a method for fabricating a plug (18) formed from a plug housing (19) and elongate contacts (3), the contacts (3) comprising a bent longitudinal axis (23) inside the finished plug (18), characterised by: introducing front portions (3a) of the contacts (3) into contact receptacles (17) of a plug housing part (7); holding the plug housing part (7) by means of a first holding arrangement (15) of a plug fabrication device (20); holding rear portions (3b) of the contacts (3) by means of a second holding arrangement (21) of the plug fabrication device (20); pivoting the first holding arrangement (15) with the plug housing part (7) held thereby relative to the second holding arrangement (21) with the contacts (3) held thereby, whereby the longitudinal axis (23) of the contacts (3) is bent in the region between their front portions (3a) and their rear portions (3b).

Abstract: A cable processing machine has cable grommet fitting apparatus 1a, 1b fitting cable grommets 2 onto a cable. The grommet fitting apparatus includes a loose material container 3 for receiving a plurality of loose cable grommets 2, a conveyor separating the cable grommets 2 located in the loose material container and conveying the separated cable grommets 2 to a mounting location. The machine includes a grommet mounter 8 mounting the conveyed cable grommets 2 onto cable. The conveyor includes a continuous, annular conveyor 4, 4a, 4b protruding into the loose material container 3 as well as a grommet receiver 6 receiving and raising the cable grommets 2. Grommet receivers 6 may be arranged on the inside of the conveyor ring.

Abstract: A crimping press (1) includes a first crimping tool (11), a second crimping tool (13) that can be moved relative to the first crimping tool (11), and a drive (3 . . . 8) for applying a crimping force between the first and second crimping tools (11, 1 3) during a crimp production process (D). The crimping press (1) further includes biasing structure (15, 18) for applying an initial force between the first and second crimping tools (11, 13), this biasing structure being oriented in the same direction as the crimping force and acting to already effectively preload a force before the crimp production process (D). This initial preloading force may be of such magnitude that bearing surfaces (5a, 6a, 6b, 7a) of the drive (3 . . . 8) lie against one another without play before the crimp production process (D).
