    Abstract: Organopolysiloxane particles useful as catalysts, are cross-linked, comprise a single molecule, have chemically bound metallic compounds and an average diameter of from 5 to 200 nm and are soluble in at least one solvent chosen from dichloromethane, pentane, acetone, ethanol and water to at least 1% by weight. At least 80% of the particles have a diameter which deviates a maximum of 30% from the average diameter.
