    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for communicating with a user equipment using a plurality of transmit antennas being capable of generating transmission beams in a communication network. The method includes deciding whether to generate either a first transmission beam using a first beamforming approach or to generate a second transmission beam using a second beamforming approach in dependency on a network condition. Based upon a result of the deciding, the first transmission beam or the second transmission beam is transmitted towards the user equipment.
