  • Patent number: 11284295
Abstract: A system and method for managing acknowledgments and retransmissions in a distributed manner in a MANET with 2-hop clustering structure. Clusterheads are in charge of assuring delivery of flooding packets to their members. After receiving acknowledgments from associated nodes in the cluster, and clusterheads perform retransmission when necessary with a list of acknowledging nodes. The non-clusterhead nodes receive the retransmissions and determine if that node's acknowledgment was received based on a list of node IDs included in the retransmission. If the node ID is not listed, the node resends the acknowledgment. The process continues until all acknowledgments are received and listed.

  • Patent number: 10938729
Abstract: A communication node of a multi-node communication network may include a communication interface and a controller communicatively coupled to the communication interface. The controller may be configured to: transmit one or more data packets over an in-use channel to one or more additional communication nodes of the multi-node communication network; determine an in-use channel quality indicator (CQI) value (CQIin-use) of the in-use channel; determine a self-degradation value (SDV) indicative of channel quality degradation attributable to the multi-node communication network; determine a candidate CQI value (CQIcandidate) of an identified candidate channel different from the in-use channel; determine a first CQI difference value (CQI1diff); transmit one or more data packets over the in-use channel if CQI1diff does not exceed a CQI threshold value (CQIthresh); and transmit one or more data packets over the candidate channel if CQI1diff exceeds CQIthresh.

  • Patent number: 9694392
Abstract: A screen panel has a pre-tensioned screen with a polished metal plate mounted to the top of the frame to eliminate all the exposed surface areas of epoxy which secures the screen to the screen panel frame. The metal plate also provides an edge against which a silicone bead may be seated to provide a much cleaner and finished looking panel which is anticipated to meet the standards set forth by the USDA. Additionally, the spatial positioning of the plate atop the screen material and screen frame allows for a clean and smooth transition across the components and one which may accept a finished bead of silicon or other material for reducing and/or eliminating sites for mold growth or other containments thereby enhancing the ability to clean and sterilize the screen panel for the processing of various materials.

  • Patent number: 8812615
Abstract: A host computer splits a display of the host computer into a grid including a plurality of grid areas. The host computer tracks a rate of display updates in each grid area. In addition, the host computer calculates a weighted average of all of the grid areas that an updated region of the display overlaps. The weighted average is based on the rate of display updates of each overlapped grid area and the percentage of the updated region that overlaps each overlapped grid area. The host computer compresses the updated region using a compression method selected from plural different compression methods. The selected compression method is selected based on the weighted average. The host computer transmits the compressed updated region to the remote client device.

  • Patent number: 8261915
Abstract: A screening machine of the type used to separate or classify mixtures of solid particles of different sizes includes a machine frame and a perforate screen panel mounted for movement relative to the machine frame during a screening operation. The screen panels are pre-tensioned mesh screen material mounted in a peripheral rim for separating various granular and particulate materials. The screen panel is slid into the side of the machine frame in a direction orthogonal to the direction particulate matter moves when the screening machine is operating. The screen panel peripheral rim has a shaped or other cross section adapted to hold a large seal member that provides a positive sealing surface for contact with the machine frame to prevent particulate matter from escaping off of the screen panel during use.
