Abstract: An improved bookmarker including a clip and a page retaining spring carried by the clip. A bottom of the clip defines a slot spaced apart from opposing side edges of the clip and an aperture spaced apart from the slot. The spring includes mounting leg having a retaining loop for insertion into the slot and a marking leg having a terminal loop.

Abstract: A bookmark of molded plastic material is formed with a base having a retaining finger for clamping to a portion of the book. A retaining arm is integrally formed with the base and consists of a first horizontal section which extends along the width of the base, an intermediate section extending from the end of the first section at an angle toward the pages of the book, and a retaining vertical section extending from the end of the intermediate section and angled back toward the base and in the direction of the clamped portion of the book. The first and intermediate sections being in the same plane as the base.

Abstract: A bookmarker for use with a book comprising a substantially flat rigid support structure having a first end and a second end. A retaining spring for marking a place in the book is secured to one end of the rigid support structure and comprising a generally horizontal section and a generally vertical section which extends into the book for placement against the pages of the book.

Abstract: An improved bookmarker for maintaining the place of a reader in a book having a spring retaining marking arm. A u-shaped clip has upwardly extending front and back sections and a bottom section having an axial slot on one edge and an opening spaced from the slot. The marking arm has a hook portion and a loop portion for engaging the opening and slot, respectively, of the bottom section fixedly securing the marking arm to the clip.
