  • Patent number: 5779047
Abstract: A steel tool box that is encapsulated in a polyethylene shell comprising of a base unit and a two piece drop front lid unit, which when closed and locked provide an air and water tight shell over the steel working area. The inner steel walls holding the drawer sliding and hanging fixtures are molded into the inner plastic walls of the base through a modified rotational molding process. Weight is significantly reduced by eliminating the outside steel walls of conventional steel tool boxes. This is possible through the modified molding process of parts into plastic.

  • Patent number: 5584220
Abstract: An attachment tool which functions as an elongate extender and has a socket driving member at one end thereof, which member has a through opening. The attachment tool is of a small dimension transverse to the elongated length thereof to facilitate its insertion into a narrow clearance space. The other end of the attachment tool has a rotatable drive element which drivingly and internally connects through a ratchet member to the socket driving member. The drive element at the remote end of the attachment tool accommodates a driving device, such as a ratchet wrench or a power tool. In a preferred embodiment, a displacement multiplier is drivingly connected to the input end of the ratchet mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5450773
Abstract: A power-driven hand tool including a housing having first and second housing parts having first and second coaxial openings therethrough. A driving element is movably positioned between the housing parts and has a third opening in coaxial alignment between the first and second openings. A motor is mounted on the housing and connects through a motion-transfer device to the driving element for causing angular oscillation thereof about a tool-driving axis. An annular socket-driving member is rotatably supported within the first opening and has a bore therethrough coaxial with the axis for releasably but drivingly engaging a removable socket. The socket-driving member has a gear rotatably positioned in the third opening. First and second pawls are mounted on the driving element for engagement with the gear for respectively causing rotational driving movement of the socket in opposite first and second directions.

  • Patent number: 5365807
Abstract: A socket tool for releasable securement to a wrench having a drive wheel provided with a drive opening. The tool includes a fastener-receiving part defining therein a fastener-receiving opening for nonrotatable driving engagement with a conventional fastener such as a nut or bolt head. A drive part is fixed to and projects axially from the other end of the fastener-receiving part, and is defined by an annular wall having an interior peripheral wall which defines an interior opening which projects axially through the drive part and coaxially communicates with the fastener-receiving opening. The drive part has an exterior peripheral wall of polygonal shape for nonrotatable driving engagement within the drive opening of the wrench. A ball detent arrangement is mounted on the drive part, and includes a bore formed radially through the annular wall and a ball movably disposed therein.
