Abstract: An installation configuration for a ram air turbine on an aircraft arranged to operate during a low speed operation. An example aircraft includes a fuselage and a lifting body connected to the fuselage and configured to provide a lifting force on the fuselage, the lifting body including a suction surface and a pressure surface disposed on opposite sides of the lifting body from each other, the suction surface extending from a leading edge of the lifting body to a trailing edge of the lifting body. A ram air turbine is coupled to the lifting body and configured to move between a retracted position where the ram air turbine is stowed inside the aircraft and an extended position where the ram air turbine is disposed above the suction surface of the lifting body.

  • Patent number: 12292872
Abstract: A system uses a hybrid key-value storage engine that uses log-structured merge tree and a segmented log-structured object store. The system performs garbage collection of stale document versions avoiding index lookup during log segment compaction. The system separates index and document data to minimize write amplification. The system maintains a delete list using a log-structured merge-tree to store stale document sequence numbers and corresponding sizes per log segment. For each log segment from the plurality of log segments, the system determines a measure of fragmentation of the log segment based on sizes of deleted documents of the log segment from the second log-structured merge-tree. If the fragmentation exceeds a threshold, the system initiates a compaction operation for the log segment.

  • Publication number: 20250074593
Abstract: Systems, methods, and aircraft for managing center of gravity (CG) while transporting large cargo are described. Management of CG is achieved in many ways. In some instances, the aircraft itself is designed to assist in managing CG by providing fuel tanks that minimize the impact of fuel on the net CG of the aircraft. The fuel tanks utilize only a small amount of available volume in the wings for fuel. Disclosures related to properly managing CG while loading wind turbines onto cargo aircraft are also provided. The CG management techniques provided for herein allow for the transportation of wind turbine blades via aircraft, running counter to the typical rail or truck transportation of the same. One such management technique includes accounting for how a rotation of the blades when loading impacts the CG of the blades, and thus taking this into account when placing the blades in the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 12193808
Abstract: A training method is provided to train changing muscle contribution in a human subject while the human subject is performing a complex movement. Feedback is provided in a simple understandable fashion by one or more data points calculated based on electromyography signals obtained over e.g. a stance phase of a walking cycle. The training method showed a significantly increased training effect in subjects performing these complex movements where these subjects were able to change the muscle activation given a specific goal. The training could be setup of a single muscle or multiple muscles. The data point feedback could be a measure for the single muscle or some relative measure for the multiple muscles. The training method results in improved coordination strategies and could be useful for retraining purposes as well as intervention methods for musculoskeletal pathologies or movement disorders.

  • Publication number: 20250007712
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to transaction security techniques. In examples, a resource platform causes a set of executable verification instructions associated with an authorization processor to be executed by a user computing device. The verification instructions may be encrypted by the authorization processor for decryption by the user computing device. The verification instructions may generate verification information associated with the user computing device. In some instances, the verification information may be encrypted for decryption by the authorization processor. The encrypted verification instructions may be provided to the authorization processor (e.g., via the resource platform), such that the authorization processor may provide an indication to the resource platform as to whether the verification is verified.
