The example antibodies initially produced comprise CDR1, CDR2, and CDR3 sequences corresponding, respectively to SEQ NOs: 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-21, 22-24, 25-27, 28-30, 31-33, 34-36, 37-39, 40-42, 43-45, and 46-48; and related sequences, including humanized variants. Also provided are multivalent antibodies comprising any one of the sdAbs, including bispecific T-cell engagers, bispecific killer cell engagers (BiKEs), and trispecific killer cell engagers (TriKEs). Also described are chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) for CAR-T therapy comprising any one of the aforementioned sdAbs. Uses of these molecules in the treatment of cancer are also described, in particularly EGFR-high cancers. Hinge lengths may be selected to achieve desired activities, such as high activity or high selectivity for target vs. non-target cells.

  • Publication number: 20240065187
Abstract: An irrigation system having a pipeline supported by one or more towers includes an improved truss connection system having a means for readily adjusting a crown height of the pipeline. A pair of cooperating members define a joint which selectively couples headed ends of adjacent truss rods together to form a truss rail of a truss system that supports the pipeline. A single fastener may fasten the cooperating members, a strut, and a cross-member together at the joint. A length of the truss rail may be decreased by holding the truss rods closer together. In an aspect, the headed ends of the adjacent truss rods are held closer together by inserting a shim in one of the joints. Decreasing the length of the truss rail increases the deflection of the pipeline and raises the crown height.

  • Publication number: 20220298194
Abstract: Processed lignin comprising the elements carbon (C), hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O) in the following amounts (upon performing an elemental analysis): carbon in an amount of between 60 and 85% by weight, hydrogen in an amount of between 3.0 and 6.0% by weight, oxygen in an amount of between 10 and 29% by weight, wherein the weight ratio carbon/hydrogen C/H is at least 12.5 and the ratio C/O is at least 2.5, and wherein the processed lignin comprises less than 0.1% by weight of total CI, wherein it has a sulphur content of below 1 g/kg and wherein the moisture content of it is less than 3% by weight. The invention further relates to a process to prepare such. Such process involves the steps of subjecting particles comprising lignin and cellulose and optionally hemicellulose to acidic hydrolysis using hydrochloric acid of at least 35%, subjecting the obtained residue to a high temperature treatment of between 300 and 500° C. under inert gaseous atmosphere to a total CI level of below 0.

  • Patent number: 11403936
Abstract: A device includes a display, a camera, a memory storing a software code, and a hardware processor configured to execute the software code to: configure the device to be in a first mode; receive, from the camera, camera data of an environment surrounding the device; determine that a person is present in the environment based on the camera data; determine that the person is facing the display based on the camera data; and transition the device from the first mode to a second mode, in response to determining that the person is facing the display. The display displays a first content when the device is in the first mode, and displays a second content different than the first content when the device is in the second mode. The second content is configured to provide information about the device to the person without requiring the person to touch the device.

  • Publication number: 20220012575
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for localized processing within multicore neural networks. Unlike existing solutions that rely on commodity software and hardware to perform “brute force” large scale neural network processing the various techniques described herein map and partition a neural network into the hardware limitations of a target platform. Specifically, the various implementations described herein synergistically leverage localization, sparsity, and distributed scheduling, to enable neural network processing within embedded hardware applications. As described herein, hardware-aware mapping/partitioning enhances neural network performance by e.g., avoiding pin-limited memory accesses, processing data in compressed formats/skipping unnecessary operations, and decoupling scheduling between cores.

  • Patent number: 10876132
Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with one or more nucleic acid sequence encoding insecticidal protein(s) and one or more silencing element(s). In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are insecticidal nucleic acids and proteins of bacterial species. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest including plants, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The molecular and breeding stacks find use in controlling, inhibiting growth or killing Lepidopteran, Coleopteran, Dipteran, fungal, Hemipteran and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.
