  • Patent number: 10907051
Abstract: This invention provides a convenient method of forming and applying a thermoplastic material for roadway markings, comprising: obtaining individual components of a thermoplastic composite material suitable for roadway markings; mixing and heating the individual components to produce a fully compounded form of the thermoplastic composite material; solidifying and prilling the fully compounded form of the thermoplastic composite material to produce a plurality of thermoplastic prills; on a marking vehicle or mobile apparatus, introducing the thermoplastic prills to an on-board melter to produce a liquid phase of the thermoplastic prills; and applying the liquid phase of the thermoplastic prills to a roadway, thereby marking the roadway. Compositions and systems are also described. Surprisingly, prills melt in approximately half the time as the powder/granular form. Also, the melter can be operated at lower temperature, leading to less discoloration of material.

  • Patent number: 10789124
Abstract: Examples described herein can be used to reduce a number of re-read operations and potentially avoid data recovery operations, which can be time consuming. A determination can be made of a read voltage to apply during an operation to cause a read of data stored in a region of a memory device. The region of the memory device can be read using the read voltage. If the region is not successfully read, then an error level indication can be measured and a second read voltage can be determined for a re-read operation. If the re-read operation is not successful, then a second error level indication can be measured for the re-read operation. A third read voltage can be selected based on the change from the error level indication to the second error level indication.

  • Patent number: 10750347
Abstract: A method providing vehicle incident call services to a user is disclosed. A third-party service center receives a communication from a vehicle over at least one data channel. Signaling is automatically sent to the vehicle from the third-party service center and, in response to the signaling, die third-party service center receives from the vehicle, location information comprising at least the latitude and longitude coordinates of the vehicle. An interactive voice recognition (IVR) system located at the third-party service center is used to determine if the latitude and longitude coordinates are valid. If the coordinates are determined to be valid, the third-party service center provides the user with a selection of vehicle-incident non-emergency response services.

  • Patent number: 10711662
Abstract: A system for supplying hydraulic fluid in an internal combustion engine comprises a pumping assembly disposed within a housing and a hydraulic circuit, operatively connected to the pumping assembly, also disposed within the housing, which housing may be fixed or dynamic. A source of pumping motions is operatively connected to the pumping assembly, which source of pumping motions may comprise a valve actuation motion source or a component of a valve train between the valve actuation motion source and an engine valve. Pumping motions applied to the pumping assembly by the source of pumping motions causes hydraulic fluid received from a supply pressure hydraulic fluid input of the hydraulic circuit to be transmitted to an increased pressure hydraulic fluid output of the hydraulic circuit.
