  • Publication number: 20090165767
Abstract: A bow string assembly includes a bow string, a string loop and a pair of spaced sight holders pre-installed on the bow string. The string loop and sight holders are adjustable along the length of the bow string when connected to an archery bow and can be secured in place when locations for a nocking point and peep sight are determined. The pre-installed arrangement facilitates bow assembly and reduces the amount of time needed to tune a bow for an individual user with a unique set of requirements.

  • Publication number: 20070261672
Abstract: A method and article of manufacture are provided to operate a spray-guided, spark-ignition, direct fuel injection engine, including injecting a first fuel pulse during a combustion cycle, and initiating spark ignition by energizing a spark igniter. A second fuel pulse is injected during the combustion cycle effective to form an ignitable fuel-air mixture proximal to the spark igniter during a period in time whereat the spark igniter is energized. A preferred elapsed time between an end of the first fuel pulse and start of the spark ignition is determined based upon engine load.

  • Publication number: 20070175438
Abstract: A method and apparatus to operate a spray-guided spark-ignition direct fuel injection internal combustion engine are provided. The invention comprises injecting a first quantity of fuel during a combustion cycle. Spark ignition is initiated, and, injection of a second quantity of fuel is controlled effective to propagate a flame kernel generated by the spark ignition, after the initiation of the spark ignition during the combustion cycle.

  • Publication number: 20050124494
Abstract: It has been shown that the formulation of phosphonic compound (ethephon) with sulfuric acid increases the efficacy and efficiency of ethephon and the speed of the effect of the ethephon. It was theorized that the effect that is shown by the mixture of ethephon and sulfuric acid could be achieved using another acid. The effect was demonstrated using muratic acid. All acids that reduce the pH of the spray carrier are claimed in this patent as synergist for phosphonic acid compounds such as ethephon.
