Publication number: 20240102471Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a universal-type bracket that incorporates a substantially uniform diameter through-bore. This allows the bracket to accept current sealing arrangements used in these types of pumps, while providing the same or better sealing options as current individual designs. The single through-bore can have multiple undercut features for holding a pump shaft bushing, with an increased wall thickness to allow for an appropriate interference fit with the walls of the through-bore, for example, similar to previous designs. Retaining ring grooves can be added to the through-bore, and retaining rings may be used to provide a positive shoulder for the seal or packing rings to seat against inside the bore. This may allow for various sealing options, such as stuffing seals, one-piece barrier seals, cartridge seals, BTR seals, component seals, and more.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Viking Pump, Inc.Inventors: Justin PIERCE, Andrew ANDERSON, Alfonso JOHNSON, Dylan LENDE, Scott MEYER

Publication number: 20240103852Abstract: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) can dynamically generate user interfaces for device profiles using predefined reusable profile templates together with data models of the devices for which the device profile interfaces are to be created. The device profile template defines features or components of profile interface views that are reusable across multiple different devices. The industrial IDE determines which interface features defined by the device profile template are required to support the device's data and supported features defined by the data model, and dynamically adapts the device profile template to yield a suitable device profile interface that can be used to view and edit the device's data and configuration parameter values.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2022Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Scott A Pierce, PETR PITRINEC, Roman Vitek, MARTIN PAULICEK, MICHAL HANZELI, Ervn Amara Danielle Manela, PATRICK D TELLJOHANN, ANTHONY J DIBLASIO

Publication number: 20240019851Abstract: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) allows add-on bus profiles and add-on controller profiles to be defined using an industrial domain-specific language (DSL) script. These add-on profiles can then be added to the IDE's device profile library for use in industrial control projects. This mitigates the need to write new source code to create these profiles and to release an updated version of the IDE software to make these profiles available for use. Industrial DSL scripting can also be used to define a physical and logical topology of an industrial control system within the IDE system as part of the control system project that will be deployed to the control system.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2022Publication date: January 18, 2024Inventors: Anthony J. Publication number: 20240019850Abstract: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) is designed to execute on a cloud-platform or a web-based platform. The IDE includes a library of device profiles that render graphical device configuration interfaces for reading and writing values of device parameters. To allow device profiles that were designed to operate within the context of a local, non-web-based IDE system to be used within the web-based IDE without the need to rewrite the device profiles or their associated services, the IDE can include a device service adapter that instantiates web services that translate the device configuration interfaces to a suitable web-based format, such as hypertext markup language. In this way, device profiles become agnostic with regard to the type of IDE platform in which the profiles are used.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2022Publication date: January 18, 2024Inventors: Scott A. Patent number: 10541917Abstract: A method and system for interacting with data frames passing through a module connected to an industrial network is disclosed. Each module includes an aggregation unit located on the network interface above the physical layer. To transmit data, the aggregation unit reads a header from a dynamic data packet to determine if the module is a participant module for the packet. If so, the aggregation unit inserts data from the module into the data packet and transmits the packet to another module. To receive data, the aggregation unit reads a header from the data packet to determine whether the data packet includes data for the module. If so, the aggregation unit reads the data and passes the data packet to another module. If the aggregation unit determines that a data packet is not intended for the module, the data packet is passed to another module with no further interaction.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2018Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: Rockwell Automation Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Sivaram Balasubramanian, Jonathan D. Patent number: 10474115Abstract: An input module for an industrial controller includes configurable execution windows. The execution windows are defined by a first parameter and a second parameter stored within the input module. A third parameter defines a status bit which is compared against the execution window to set a window output signal within the input module. The execution window may define a range between the first and second parameters against which the status bit is compared. Alternately, the first and second parameters may define setpoints against which the status bit is compared. At one of the setpoints, the window output signal is set and at the other of the setpoints, the window output signal is reset.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2018Date of Patent: November 12, 2019Assignee: Rockwell Automation Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Eric D.
