  • Publication number: 20170051805
Abstract: A snubbed isolator is provided having an increased capability for three-dimensional damping of vibrations for a component affixed or attached to a structure through the snubbed isolator, where the snubbed isolator is attached to the structure. The snubbed isolator includes a mounting plate for attaching to the structure, an elastomeric element, and a stem for mounting the component. The elastomeric element is disposed between the mounting plate and the stem.

  • Publication number: 20150211592
Abstract: A snubbed isolator comprising: an inner member, the inner member (12) having: a lower member (25) including an upper surface (27) and base (32), wherein the base is wider than the upper surface; a stem (24) integral with the lower member, the stem including a top, wherein the top is oppositely positioned from the base; a surface associated with the top of the stem, the surface being capable of bearing load; an outer member (14) positioned outwardly from the inner member, the outer member having a surface that is wider near the base of the lower member and narrower proximate the upper surface of the lower member; an interlock between the inner and outer members; an elastomeric element (16) bonded between the inner and outer members; and at least one snubbing elastomeric element (34) bonded to the inner member and positioned to snub against a mounting structure.

  • Patent number: 7967281
Abstract: A vibration isolation member comprising an inner member comprising an outer periphery having a first dimension; an outer member comprising a base and a shroud that extends away from the base, the shroud adapted to overlay the inner member, said shroud defining an inner periphery having a second dimension, the second dimension being less than the first dimension; and a resilient member constrained between the shroud and the inner member, whereby the vibration isolation member provides iso-elastic dynamic stiffness and an interference between the inner and outer members in the event of a failure of the resilient member.
