Patent number: 11534593Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a rotary blood pump system. The rotary blood pump system may comprise an inflow conduit, an outflow conduit, a control system, and a power source. The present disclosure further relates to various inflow conduit assemblies comprising a conduit tip comprised of metal or polymer having an undulating opening surface that provides improved blood flow and washing properties while minimizing regions susceptible to stagnation, and optionally a resilient tip-protecting cage structure that reduces the risk of conduit tip suction events and suction-related injury of the wall of adjacent blood vessels or other blood containing structures. The present disclosure further relates to various outflow conduit assemblies with a conduit tip comprised of metal or polymer wherein the cross-sectional area of the lumen of the conduit or conduit tip is reduced to generate a localized jet-like fluid flow in a blood vessel segment adjacent to the conduit tip.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2017Date of Patent: December 27, 2022Assignee: Artio Medical, Inc.Inventors: F. Publication number: 20220105569Abstract: Closed-loop melt pool size control for additive manufacturing is integrated with site-specific changes to a controller set-point. Site-specific control enables localized control of bead geometry and material properties in an additive manufacturing system, thus offering enhanced defect mitigation capabilities when compared with constant setpoint technologies. Trigger points, generated by the projection of a secondary geometry onto a primary geometry, mark locations of the volume of a part under manufacture where site-specific changes in setpoint occur. Through this technique, it is possible to manufacture a specific geometry that occurs beyond a predefined toolpath of a print head. Implications of this capability extend beyond localized control of bead geometry to potential mitigations of defects and functional grading of component properties.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2021Publication date: April 7, 2022Inventors: Brian T. Gibson, Bradley Scott Richardson, Lonnie J. Love, Paritosh Mhatre, Michael Borish

Patent number: 10860562Abstract: A data store may implement dynamic query predicates for processing queries. Query predicate indexes may be maintained for individual storage locations in a data store. The query predicate indexes may indicate data values not stored in the storage location that satisfy a query predicate in the query predicate index. The query predicate index may be populated when queries are received at the data store which include new query predicates. When queries are received that include query predicates that correspond to query predicates in the query predicate index, the index values for each of the storage locations may be evaluated. Based, at least in part, on the evaluation, particular storage locations may be identified to read for servicing the queries.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2014Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Anurag Windlass Gupta, Mengchu Cai, Andrew Scott Richardson
