  • Publication number: 20210164344
Abstract: An electromagnetic (EM) telemetry system of a wellbore drilling and production environment includes at least one downhole sensor. The system also includes a downhole transceiver including an encoded signal transmitter. The encoded signal transmitter transmits data collected by the at least one downhole sensor. Further, the system includes an encoded signal receiver, which includes one or more active counter electrodes.

  • Patent number: 10180512
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a current monitoring circuit for monitoring current in a geophysical survey system. The circuit may be utilized in dipole-dipole systems including one or more electrode stations or in loop systems. The circuit includes a transmitter configured to generate an output current. One or more current monitors are positioned to detect current at or near the electrode stations or at positions along the one or more loops. Measured current data is transmitted back to the transmitter, which may be shut down if necessary. Methods for monitoring current in a geophysical survey system are also provided.

  • Patent number: 8332866
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer program products for invoking remote process calls and facilitating inter-process communications in a protected memory system employ a kernel that supports remote invocation of objects by a system call. The system call may include an object identifier and a set of pointers to input and output buffers. The kernel locates the specified object in a separate server process domain and awakens a server thread within the server domain to invoke the object. Using provided memory pointers, the kernel can copy input and output data across the protection domains in a single step without the need for copying data into an intermediate buffer. This eliminates the overhead of multiple data copy steps that are required in conventional protected memory systems.
