Publication number: 20240151093Abstract: A heated cabinet including door assembly having a door positioned between opposing jambs of a door frame, wherein the door is pivotable, about a pivot axis, between an open position and a closed position. The door assembly includes a motor assembly operably connected to the door to pivot the door about the pivot axis and a control board operatively coupled to the motor assembly. The door assembly further has a first break beam emitter mounted to one of the opposing jambs and a first break beam receiver mounted to another of the opposing jambs and operatively connected to the control board. The first break beam emitter and first break beam receiver are disposed along a beam axis extending parallel to the pivot axis and proximate to an edge of the door adjacent to the pivot axis. The door assembly is configured such that interruption of a beam projected between the first break beam emitter and the first break beam receiver alters operation of the motor assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2024Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Craig WHITAKER, Edward Leonard WEAVER, II, Scott A. ZIEKER, Charles Eldon WARNER, Ronald G. KNOLLMAN

Patent number: 11913273Abstract: Motorized door assemblies having a door pivoting about a pivot axis extending across opposing jambs. In one aspect, the assembly includes a motor assembly having a motor, drive gears, slip clutch, and driven shaft connected to the door to pivot it about the pivot axis. The slip clutch includes a clutch plate slideable along the driven shaft, a drive plate driven by the motor via the drive gears, and a clutch spring urging the clutch plate into engagement with the drive plate, where the clutch and drive plates have profiled and counter-profiled faces. In another aspect, a break beam emitter and receiver are mounted to respective ones of the opposing jambs along a beam axis extending parallel to the pivot axis and proximate to an edge of the door opposite the pivot axis. Interruption of a light beam projected therebetween alters operation of a motor assembly.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2018Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: APEX INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGIES LLCInventors: Craig Whitaker, Edward Leonard Weaver, II, Scott A. Patent number: 8267278Abstract: The container includes a base and a detachable cover. To releasably attach the base and cover, the base includes a first closure portion and the cover includes an engagable second closure portion. In one aspect, the first and second closure portions are configured for engagement in both a fully engaged position and an intermediately engaged position. In the intermediately engaged position, the container can be further configured to vent steam during, for example, microwaving. In another aspect, the container including the first and second closure portions can be configured for simplified engagement of the base and cover, preferably by enabling engagement via a downward push applied to the center of the cover. In yet another aspect, the first and second closure portions can be configured with diverging flanges that simplify detachment of the base and cover.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2010Date of Patent: September 18, 2012Assignee: The Glad Products CompanyInventors: Edward B. Tucker, Anand Ramanujam, Lawrence John Racana, Ares Marasligiller, Jason Phillips, Yashodhan Dhuru, Gordon D. Thomas, Scott Zieker

Patent number: 7806426Abstract: One embodiment of the invention relates to an adjustable cart including a upper platform with a front portion and a back portion, a lower platform with a front portion and a back portion, rolling members for movably supporting the lower platform, a first supporting member connected to the back portion of the lower platform, and a first rotational pivot structure connecting the first supporting member to the back portion of the upper platform to permit pivoting about a first pivot location. The upper platform is configured to rotate about the first rotational pivot structure from a first position substantially parallel to the lower platform to a second position substantially perpendicular to the lower platform during which the first pivot location moves away from the lower platform.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2007Date of Patent: October 5, 2010Assignee: Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLCInventors: A. Publication number: 20080041850Abstract: The container covers stack together in two different ways. First, the covers can be stacked into an “aligned” stack. The aligned stack provides structural rigidity for bulk handling during manufacturing. Second, the covers can be stacked into a “locked” stack. The locked stack provides even more structural rigidity than does the aligned stack and is useful when storing unused covers. The container cover includes a first closure portion, an engagement portion, and an alignment portion. The base includes a second closure portion. The first closure portion of the cover is sealingly engageable with the second closure portion of the base to define a sealed storage area. The alignment portion of the cover is engageable with the alignment portion of a second cover to form an aligned cover stack. The engagement portion of the cover is engageable with the engagement portion of a second cover to form a locked cover stack.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2007Publication date: February 21, 2008Inventors: Edward Tucker, Anand Ramanujam, Lawerence Racana, Ares Marasligiller, Jason Phillips, Yashodhan Dhuru, Gordon Thomas, Scott Zieker
