  • Patent number: 7709002
Abstract: Mutant ras oncogene peptides may induce specific anti-ras cellular immune responses in vaccinated patients. Moreover, a human CD8+ CTL epitope(s) reflecting a specific point mutation in the K-ras oncogene at codon 12 was identified. The mutant ras peptide has implications for both active and passive immunotherapies in selected carcinoma patients. A nested 10-mer peptide was identified [i.e., ras5-14(Asp12)], which was shown to bind to HLA-A2 and display specific functional capacity for expansion of the in-vivo-primed CD8+ CTL precursors.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 17, 1997
Date of Patent: May 4, 2010
Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services
    Inventors: Jeffrey Schlom, Scott Abrams

  • Patent number: 7412122
Abstract: An integrated circuit cast on a single die having a plurality of receivers in a receiver region, a plurality of transmitters in a transmitter region, and a spatial separation region having a plurality of n-type and p-type subregions disposed on the single die to separate the transmitter region from the receiver region. The pn-junctions between the n-type and p-type subregions are reverse-biased thereby reducing or eliminating coupling of noise and crosstalk between the transmitter and receiver is reduced.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 2006
Date of Patent: August 12, 2008
Assignee: Avago Technologies General IP Pte Ltd

  • Patent number: 7127441
Abstract: The present invention describes a system and method for using agent-based distributed case-based reasoning to manage a computer network. In particular, the system includes interface agents, distributed case-based reasoning agents, and response agents, which run on hosts in the network. An interface agent monitors a resource in the network and reports an event to an appropriate distributed case-based reasoning agent. The distributed case-based reasoning agent, using one or more case bases, determines a response to the event. An appropriate response agent implements the response.

  • Patent number: 6947456
Abstract: A laser driver for generating drive waveforms that are suitable for driving a single VCSEL or an array of VCSELs. A digital controller is integrated into the laser driver and is utilized to initially program and selectively adjust during the operation of the driver one or more of the following VCSEL drive waveform parameters: (1) bias current, (2) modulation current, (3) negative peaking depth, and (4) negative peaking duration. The laser driver has an aging compensation mechanism for monitoring the age of the laser and for selectively adjusting the dc and ac parameters of the VCSEL drive waveform to compensate for the aging of the laser. The laser driver also has a temperature compensation mechanism for monitoring the temperature of the driver IC and selectively adjusting the dc and ac parameters of the VCSEL drive waveform to compensate for the changes in temperature.
