  • Patent number: 10400533
Abstract: A downhole hanger assembly having a downhole hanger and a telemetry unit. The telemetry unit can reside within the downhole hanger or the telemetry unit can reside in a telemetry component which is coupled with the downhole hanger. The downhole hanger assembly can be lowered into a wellbore tubular and set against an interior wall of the wellbore tubular. The telemetry unit can receive and transmit data uphole and/or downhole. The data can be received from another telemetry unit and/or from a tool assembly, such as a sensor.

  • Patent number: 9611725
Abstract: An apparatus and method for establishing communication between the interior of a downhole tubular string and a surrounding annulus is disclosed. A downhole perforator includes a perforator housing. An inner profile of the perforator housing has a first section having a first diameter and a second section having a second diameter, where the first diameter and the second diameter are different. The downhole perforator also includes a mandrel slidably disposed within the perforator housing having an upper connector coupled to a linear actuator. The mandrel also includes a slot. A penetrator is disposed within the slot and rotatably coupled to the mandrel. Additionally, a platform is disposed along a wall of the perforator housing and abuts the mandrel. A pivot pin is coupled to the perforator housing and interfaces with the penetrator and rotates the penetrator about the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 7467661
Abstract: A downhole perforator assembly (10) for establishing communication between the interior of a tubular string (18) and a surrounding annulus (24) includes a downhole power unit (100) having a power unit housing (150) and a moveable shaft (130) and a downhole perforator (260) having a perforator housing (262), a mandrel (278) slidably positioned within the perforator housing (262) and a penetrator (288) radially outwardly extendable from the perforator housing (262). The power unit housing (150) is operably associated with the perforator housing (262) and the moveable shaft (130) operably associated with the mandrel (278) such that when the downhole power unit (100) is activated and the moveable shaft (130) is longitudinally shifted relative to the power unit housing (150), the mandrel (278) is longitudinally shifted relative to the perforator housing (262) and at least a portion of the penetrator (288) is extended radially outwardly from the perforator housing (262).
