  • Publication number: 20160322455
Abstract: An integrated sense resistor within an integrated circuit (IC) may be surroundingly positioned near and coupled to a connection such as a pin or ball. The integrated sense resistor may be shaped such that more surface area of the integrated sense resistor is coupled to be positioned closer or in actual contact with the pin or ball than conventional straight layered integrated sense resistor solutions. The integrated sense resistor may be a non-straight shape that entirely surrounds or wraps around a connection to the pin or ball, such as a circular or oval shape, a box or rectangular shape, a triangular shape, or a polygonal shape. The integrated sense resistor may be a non-straight shape that partially surrounds a connection to the pin or ball, such as an open-circular or semi-circular shape, an open-sided box or rectangular shape, an open-sided triangular shape, an angular shape, or an open curved shape.

  • Patent number: 9425994
Abstract: A network asset manager is provided that comprises a network interface coupled to a processor and a memory that broadcasts a first “Start Discovery” message. The “Start Discovery” message instructs unconfigured devices in an EIA-485 network to generate random number identifiers within a predetermined range and results in receipt of a “I Have Random ID” message from at least one of the unconfigured devices with a specific random number identifier associated with the at least one of the unconfigured devices. Receipt of the “I Have Random ID” message results in a broadcast message from the network interface to at least one of the unconfigured devices using the specific random number identifier.

  • Publication number: 20160076349
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydrocarbon production stimulation method which can be used in new reservoirs and in reservoirs that have been previously fractured (e.g., by hydraulic fracturing) or that have naturally occurring fractures. A zone of the wellbore is isolated, a liquid chemical rock splitting agent composition is injected into the isolated zone and then forced into the subterranean formation with an inert compressed gas, the chemical rock splitting agent is permitted to expand and harden, and the agent is then removed from the formation. A proppant may be used to hold fractures open.

  • Publication number: 20150186608
Abstract: A method and system for assessing alarm events generated in a physiological monitoring system is described. The method identifies one or more qualitative measures associated with the generation of the alarm event. The one or more qualitative measures can include a calculated trajectory of the monitored physiological parameter, the calculated time between alarm events and the duration of the current alarm event. Based upon the qualitative measures, the method calculates a clinical relevancy score for the alarm event. The alarm event, each of the qualitative measures and the clinical relevancy score are presented on a display panel. The method and system can generate an urgent alarm based on the calculated relevancy score. The system includes a processor that calculates the clinical relevancy score based on qualitative measures and algorithms entered into the processor.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are various methods, systems, an apparatuses for determining appropriate situations to treat conditions such as sleep apnea. At appropriate times, treatment can be applied such as through electrical stimulation to a person (e.g., an electrical stimulation of a person's genioglossus muscle in response to detecting that the person is undergoing an obstructive sleep apnea precursor event). In exemplary embodiments, a sensor such as a microphone and/or motion sensor can be used to provide a processor with data to facilitate a determination by the processor as to whether an electrical stimulus should be applied.

  • Publication number: 20140364123
Abstract: Mobility management is described for simultaneous, multiple radio access technology (RAT) user equipments (UEs). When the UE detects a mobility event that would trigger transfer of a communication service from a first RAT to a second RAT, the UE determines whether there is an existing connection to a base station of the second RAT and uses cached measurement information related to this base station to influence or weight how the transfer is performed/handled/managed.
