Abstract: A system for training a player of a sport that utilizes a playing ball includes at least two training balls of substantially equal size but unequal mass. Optionally the training balls are lighter and smaller than a playing ball. The method of the present invention includes providing a system of at least two training balls as described. The training balls are thrown to a player using the same arm speed with each throw to train the player with pitches of different flight characteristics arising from the same throwing motion and arm speed.

Alternatively, the support is incorporated into a sports club or is a removable attachment for a sports club. The device includes a speed measuring device, such as a velocimeter or accelerometer, a data processor, a data storage, a power supply, and an output device for visually, aurally, or electrically outputting the calculated speed.

Abstract: Provided is a novel gasoline composition which is substantially free of ether compounds and is in compliance with a California Predictive Model. The gasoline composition is suitable for use in the winter months, i.e., having a Reid vapor pressure in the range of greater than 7.0 to about 15.0 psi. The method for blending the gasoline comprises blending streams from a refinery in a controlled manner to maintain compliance with the California Predictive Model.

Removable weights which can be selectively disposed in said cavity in combination are also provided. Disposed inside the cavity is means, such as a support, for removably fixing said weights within the cavity. Optionally, the fixing means may be such that the weights may be positioned at any selected location along the length of said cavity.

Abstract: A training bat has a handle portion and a barrel portion. The barrel portion has a hollow cavity formed within and has an opening for accessing the cavity. A plurality of nestable weights can be disposed in the barrel cavity in combination. A means for closing the barrel opening is used so that the weights may be fixedly secured inside the barrel cavity.
