  • Patent number: 7775424
Abstract: A kiosk that allows a user to navigate through a Medicaid process via a touch screen monitor facilitated by an onscreen navigator employing ladder logic. The kiosk has a housing to which a bracket that holds the monitor and a keyboard is attached, the bracket capable of sliding up and down and tilting back and forth. A user initially identifies herself to the system via a card reader and confirms identity via a biometric reader. Once within the system, the user navigates via the monitor through the assistance of an onscreen navigator that is set up using ladder logic. At any point during the process, a counselor may be called via a telephone attached to the housing. Once all data is collected for a user, the internal processor transmits the data to a central server.

  • Publication number: 20080236028
Abstract: A flying insect trapping system uses a control assembly that has a dispersion assembly that vaporizes small amounts of octenol, the octenol mixing with carbon dioxide the flow of which is regulated into a mixing housing. The mixture is released to attract flying insects from a distance. A trapping assembly uses a heat source, namely a light for short distance attraction of the insects, which insects fly to the light and are drawn into a mesh by a fan. Each trapping assembly can have a control assembly associated with it, or a single master control assembly can be used which delivers the carbon dioxide and octenol mixture to each of the trapping assemblies.

  • Patent number: 6898896
Abstract: A trap for catching mosquitoes uses a plurality of housings that are disposed along a perimeter to be protected against the mosquitoes. Each housing has a heat source, a mesh for trapping the insects, and a fan to pull the insects into the mesh. A first container holds carbon dioxide while a second container holds octenol. The carbon dioxide is pumped through the octenol holding container and the combined carbon dioxide and octenol are passed are mixed and enter a first conduit. Each housing is fluid flow connected to the first conduit and some of the combined carbon dioxide and octenol passes to each housing in order to act as attractants for the insects. A second conduit runs parallel to the first conduit and carries electricity such that when each housing attaches to the first conduit it also attaches to the second conduit in order to provide an electrical connection to the housing's fan and light.
