Patent number: 7535997Abstract: Systems and methods for silent message delivery are provided. One such embodiment includes a message receiver configured to receive a text message and convert it to a corresponding speech message. A message router is connected to the message receiver and configured to route the speech message dependent on information included in the speech message in accordance with a messaging directory. Preferably, a Voice Profile for Inter-system Messaging (VPIM) agent is connected to the message router and configured to convert the speech message to a corresponding VPIM message and deliver it to a voice mail system. Methods are also provided for delivery of a text message as speech message to a voice mail system without initiating a call to a telephonic device.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2002Date of Patent: May 19, 2009Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: A. Patent number: 7477733Abstract: Systems and methods allowing a third-party to redirect a telephone call according to an intended call recipient's preferences are disclosed. Calls received at a switch for a subscriber are suspended while a query is sent via AIN or other data networks to a communications center device associated with the called party number. If the call is intended for another user of the subscriber's telephone, a third party, the actual recipient of the call notification may redirect the call to the intended user without directly interfacing with the calling party. The user may select one or more options provided to route the call according to predefined profile information provided by the intended call recipient.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2003Date of Patent: January 13, 2009Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Robert A. Publication number: 20080276490Abstract: A fluid-filled chamber may be incorporated into footwear and other products. The chamber is formed from a polymer material that defines a first surface, a second surface located opposite the first surface, and a sidewall surface extending around a periphery of the chamber and between the first surface and the second surface. A plurality of bonds are spaced inward from the sidewall surface and join the first surface and the second surface, and the bonds are distributed to form a regularly-spaced array, such as a hexagonal array. In some configurations, the first surface and the second surface may define elliptically-shaped structures between the bonds. In addition, the bonds may be formed to have a slope that is an average of slopes of the first surface and the second surface in areas proximal the bonds.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2007Publication date: November 13, 2008Applicant: Nike, Inc.Inventors: Scott C. Patent number: 7440564Abstract: A privacy management system is disclosed for when a calling party has a private telephone number. Privacy screening services allow a subscriber to manage and monitor incoming telephone calls, such that unwanted calls are not terminated to the subscriber. When a calling party calls the subscriber to this privacy screening service, the privacy management system manages the call according to whether the calling party number is known and public, known and private, or unknown. If the calling party number is known and public, the call is routed to the subscriber. If, however, the calling party is known and private, an announcement is played to the calling party, asking the calling party for permission to override his or her privacy. If the calling party is unknown, the calling party is asked to record his/her name.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2006Date of Patent: October 21, 2008Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Nicholas P. Hill, Aamir M. Hussain, Scott C. Holt, Anita H. Simpson

Patent number: 7394897Abstract: A method and system for routing service calls made from lines resold to a competitive service provider includes advanced intelligent network and standard switching functionality. The call may be made into an AIN service switching point (60) or a non-AIN switch (62-64). All calls are routed to an AIN hub (190), such as a service switching point, via a trunk group. The AIN or non-AIN switch may access a line class code table (160-164) to determine the proper routing information. Calls made from resold lines are routed to the AIN hub (190). Once the call is routed to the AIN hub, a trigger (187) provisioned on the AIN hub and assigned to the incoming trunk group causes the hub to suspend the call and launch a query to a service control point (200). The query includes the directory number of the resold calling line and the originally dialed number. The SCP (670) accesses a data-base (675) containing directory numbers for resold lines and identifiers for competitive service providers.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 1998Date of Patent: July 1, 2008Assignee: AT&T Delaware Intellectual Property, Inc.Inventors: James C. Patent number: 7391853Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring a call directed to a telephony network-based voice messaging service (VMS) implemented using packet-switched data network telephone conferencing resources, such as an IP-based voice-over-IP conferencing system. The systems and methods use one or more media gateway systems providing an interface between a conventional telephony domain and packet-switched data domain. When a call is to be redirected to the VMS system, the telephony network routes the call via the packet-switched data network using the media gateway. An application server in the packet-switched data network maintains registration information associated with the subscriber. If the subscriber is logged onto the packet-switched data network, the conferencing resources are used to establish a conference call between the caller, the VMS and the subscriber.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2004Date of Patent: June 24, 2008Assignee: AT&T Delaware Intellectual Property, Inc.Inventors: Scott C.
