  • Patent number: 11551506
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes providing a real-time environmental model of a shared virtual environment (SVE) that includes a plurality of virtual players. Display data corresponding to the SVE is transmitted to each player device. The data includes user display data that causes a display in the player device to render a portion of the SVE based on a virtual orientation of the player device and a virtual location of the virtual player in the SVE. Sensory feedback data is then transmitted to the plurality of VR devices that causes each VR device to provide a sensory indication associated with the SVE to the respective player. The sensory indication is indicative of a benefit that will be provided to a subset of the plurality of players at a predetermined future time. At the predetermined future time, the benefit is then provided to the subset of the plurality of players.

  • Publication number: 20190197820
Abstract: A computer implemented method includes providing a real-time environmental model of a shared virtual environment (SVE) that includes multiple virtual electronic wagering game machines (vEGMs), transmitting VR data corresponding to the SVE to a virtual reality (VR) device that is associated with a player. The VR data includes user display data that causes a display in the VR device to render a portion of the SVE based on an orientation of the VR device and a location of the VR device in the SVE. The method includes receiving, from the VR device, tracking information that is generated by multiple sensors that are configured to provide information corresponding to the player, and responsive to receiving the tracking information, transmitting updated VR data that causes the display to display a virtual interaction with one of the vEGMS in the SVE.

  • Publication number: 20180089960
Abstract: A gaming system offers players the opportunity to play a skill-based challenge. Following the skill-based challenge, the player plays a chance-based prize round in which the player has the opportunity to win a prize. The gaming system receives a wager from a player and determines that the player has purchased a persistent skill enhancement that can be used by the player whenever the player is playing the skill-based challenge. The gaming system initiates the skill-based challenge including the persistent skill enhancement. Upon completion of the skill-based challenge, the gaming system awards the player at least one entry into a chance-based prize round. The probability of winning the chance-based prize round may be enhanced based on the outcome of the skill-based challenge. The gaming system then initiates the chance-based prize round and may award a monetary prize to the player in response to an outcome of the chance-based prize round.

  • Publication number: 20070135194
Abstract: A modified version of a Blackjack game includes a plurality of Blackjack rules including at least one player rule and at least one dealer rule. The modified Blackjack game includes at least one deck of cards, a plurality of participant hands formable from the deck, and a plurality of game administrator hands formable from the deck. A game outcome can be produced by applying the player rule to at least one of the game administrator hands, and by applying the dealer rule to at least one of the participant hands.

  • Patent number: 6111207
Abstract: A multi-configurable office machine, which includes a control panel subassembly having a plurality of user-activated key-switches for controlling functions of the office machine. A first control panel cover is adapted for installation on the control panel subassembly, the first cover comprising a first cover structure providing user access to a first set of the key-switches when the first cover is installed on the control panel subassembly. A second control panel cover is adapted for installation on the control panel subassembly, the second cover comprising a second cover structure providing user access to a second set of the key-switches when the second cover is installed on the control panel subassembly. By installing a selected one of the panel covers, different groups of the key-switches are accessible to the user, thereby configuring the machine to a first configuration or a second configuration.

  • Patent number: 6027264
Abstract: Both a printing-medium support (such as a platen) and a printhead-carriage slide-rod are supported and located in common from a single chassis. Preferably a pair of positive stops is used to locate the slide-rod, and a biasing retainer forcibly abuts the rod against, selectively, either stop of the pair of positive stops. Alternatively the two positive stops are instead used to locate the print-medium support--or separate pairs of such stops are used to locate both the slide-rod and the print-medium support respectively. A respective biasing retainer forcibly engages each located support element against one or the other of its stops. In another facet of the invention, an accurate system establishes and adjustably controls printhead-to-print-medium spacing without an assembly fixture. An adjustable mechanism (such as the biasing retainer mentioned above), distinct from both support elements, locates one of the two supports relative to the other.
