  • Publication number: 20240123735
Abstract: Reprocessing of a replaceable supply component may include receiving from an encoding device and using an interface communicatively coupled to the encoding device, a request blob to reprocess a replaceable supply component. The method may include in response to cryptographically verifying the request blob, extracting from the request blob, a supply identifier and raw supply data. The method further includes using the supply identifier and raw supply data, generating a reprocess structure to append or amend original manufacturing data for the replaceable supply component, and providing a response blob to the encoding device, to designate the replaceable supply component as a reprocessed supply component.

  • Publication number: 20200409972
Abstract: In an embodiment, a source repository system sends an ending timestamp to determine the range of data that will be obtained from the source repository system. In an embodiment, data from the source repository system is grouped in clusters of data items for transferring the data to a target repository. In an embodiment, the clusters of data containing the data conform to rules including timestamp and identifiers of data in the grouping of data in a cluster.

  • Publication number: 20070237925
Abstract: A radiation cured coating may be applied to a device in an image forming apparatus. The coating may be textured using an embossing method wherein radiation is passed through an embossing device to react a chemical component of the coating. The coating may also be textured by providing multiple coating layers exhibiting differential shrinkage upon exposure to radiation and reacting.

  • Publication number: 20070095172
Abstract: A wrench for tamper switch installation for use with a tamper switch arrangement including an enclosure containing a tamper switch assembly having a mounting rail for assembling the tamper switch assembly to a security system enclosure. The wrench may be capable of holding two separate nuts and have cooperating mating structure to slidably mate with the mounting rail of the tamper switch arrangement. The nuts may be frictionally-fitted into the wrench, after which the wrench is slidably moved onto the mounting rail until the nuts line up with two throughbores in the mounting rail. Two screws or bolts are then inserted through a surface of the security system enclosure and traverse the throughbores in the mounting rail. The screws or bolts then threadably engage the two nuts disposed within the wrench and are threaded therethrough via rotation with a suitable instrument, e.g., a screwdriver, located outside of the security system enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20060197662
Abstract: A tamper switch arrangement detects tampering with a device, and includes a tamper switch assembly having a tamper switch with a first part and a second part. The first and second parts are movable relative to each other between an open switch position and a closed switch position. The tamper switch is biased into one of the open and closed switch positions. An enclosure substantially encloses the tamper switch assembly and the device. The enclosure includes a door and an opening disposed opposite the door. The enclosure is sized such that the tamper switch assembly may be compressed between an inner surface of the door and a second surface via the opening to thereby overcome the bias and actuate the tamper switch into an other of the open and closed switch positions.

  • Publication number: 20060023055
Abstract: An image forming apparatus comprising an accumulator drum for receiving toner images from a plurality of imaging units and transferring the toner images to a receiving media. The basic components of the image forming apparatus comprise an accumulator drum having a plurality of imaging units with photoconductive drums positioned about the accumulator drum, and a laser assembly. In one embodiment, a laser emits light beams for forming a latent image on each of the photoconductive drums with each light beam having a different external optical path length. In one embodiment, a drive mechanism operatively connected to the imaging units drives the accumulator drum. In one embodiment, the imaging units are positioned about the accumulator drum is a specific angular placement. In one embodiment, the imaging units are at least partially positioned within the interior of the accumulator drum.

  • Publication number: 20050214033
Abstract: A toner layer regulating system for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a toner carrier; a toner regulating member supported in cantilevered fashion against the toner carrier so as to form a toner nip therebetween comprising a flexible metallic substrate having a coating covering at least an area forming the nip; wherein the coating comprises at least a matrix of a base polymer and a plurality of fine particles having a particle size of 0.1 microns to thirty microns; wherein the coating has a thickness of approximately one hundred fifty microns or less; wherein the coating has a surface roughness in the range of 0.15 to 1.5 microns Ra and in the range of 1 to 15 microns Rz. A carrier stratum may be disposed between the coating and the substrate, and the coating may be single layer or have a plurality of layers.

  • Publication number: 20050201781
Abstract: A toner layer regulating system for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a toner carrier; a toner regulating member (e.g., doctor blade) disposed proximate the toner carrier, with the toner regulating member having a first surface disposed toward the toner carrier and forming a nip with the toner carrier. The toner regulating member comprise a flexible metallic substrate and a metallic coating on the first surface in an area thereof forming the nip. The coating on the toner regulating member comprises a material selected from the group consisting of molybdenum, tungsten carbide, and alloys thereof. The coating may be substantially homogeneous and/or have a thickness of not more than 30 um. The coating may have a relatively smooth surface roughness of ?2.0 um Ra.

  • Publication number: 20050191878
Abstract: A security device mounted on a support including a housing with a removable section and a base section. A terminal assembly having first and second terminals is disposed on a detachable portion of the housing that is directly mounted to the support. A printed circuit board and a pin assembly having first and second pins is mounted in the removable housing section. Attaching the removable housing section to the device inserts the first and second pins into the first and second terminals respectively. A conductive material provides electrical communication between the first and second pins whereby a tamper detection circuit can be defined between the first and second terminals. Disengagement of one of the first and second pins from its respective terminal opens the tamper detection circuit. Detachment of the removable housing section disengages the pins from the terminals thereby opening the tamper detection circuit.

  • Publication number: 20050134468
Abstract: An optical smoke detector for detecting particulates in an air sample. The detector includes a detection chamber defining an enclosure for the air sample. At least one opening is in fluid communication with the detection chamber whereby the air sample can be introduced and discharged from the detection chamber. A cleaning port defines a passageway to the detection chamber from a position external to the smoke detector and a resilient valve seals the cleaning port with a substantially air-tight seal. The valve member is accessible from a position external to the smoke detector. The valve member is openable, permitting passage of air through the cleaning port into the discharge chamber, by engaging the valve member with a nozzle, such as an air nozzle mounted on a canister of pressurized air.
