    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for identifying a physical port associated with a virtual machine is provided. The method includes receiving a request to identify the physical port associated with the virtual machine. The method also includes translating, by a processor, an address of a virtual interface of the virtual machine into an address of a physical interface, the address of the physical interface including slot identification and port identification of the physical port. The method further includes identifying a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that correspond to the address of the physical interface and instructing a LED controller to activate the plurality of LEDs.
