  • Patent number: 11025688
Abstract: Aspects described herein generally improve the quality, efficiency, and speed of data processing by automatically generating a plurality of nodes for a streaming data platform based on user parameters. This combination of different platform nodes may allow for the generation and initiation of a streaming platform that may run in a cloud and may provide multi-availability-zone and multi-region capabilities to support replication and disaster recovery capabilities for data management. The streaming platform may include a coordination layer, a streaming layer, and a replication layer, and each layer may include a plurality of nodes.

  • Publication number: 20170107033
Abstract: A flexible tie comprises a body, bulbs with holes and at least one end piece, arranged such that bulbs can be passed through the holes in other bulbs to form loops in the apparatus. These loops can be used to bundle objects together, add a handle to an existing object or prevent other loops from coming undone. The tie can also be undone and used again. Multiple loops can be formed using the same tie.

  • Publication number: 20170108033
Abstract: An apparatus capable of clamping onto other objects, as well as acting as either the male ball, female socket or both at the same time when paired with other similar apparatuses in a ball and socket joint system. By combining multiple apparatuses, various advanced versions can be produced and these versions allow the apparatus to be used as a constructing material for custom tools, supports and structures.

  • Publication number: 20150230836
Abstract: A pedicle screw and rod fixation assembly including a pair of opposing tabs having a proximal end and a distal end, the pair of opposing tabs being coupled to one another about the distal end thereof by a screw head member, a decoupling mechanism for decoupling the pair of opposing tabs from the screw head member, a rod receiving slot between the pair of opposing tabs, and a sliding member configured for coupling to the pair of opposing tabs. The sliding member and the pair of opposing tabs are configured for allowing movement of the sliding member distally along the pair of opposing tabs and preventing movement of the sliding member proximally along the pair of opposing tabs.

  • Patent number: 8500074
Abstract: A freestanding bicycle storage rack for use in garages and other areas, comprising a large freestanding “T”-shaped frame attachable to a base portion supported by a large weighted stand member, is similar in appearance and style to the base stands used on portable basketball hoops. An upper cross member of the frame is provided with a plurality of large hooks attached to the bottom of the upper cross member on each side. Bicycles are hoisted up and attached to the hanging hooks by their front or rear tires. Scooters and other similar devices may also be stored using the same hooks. These features provide the ability to store bicycles off of the floor without connections to a wall, ceiling, or other building structures.

  • Patent number: 5305477
Abstract: A shower curtain brace is provided for securing a lower portion of the shower curtain away from the shower stream when the shower curtain is extended across the shower entrance. The brace includes a bar with two ends perpendicularly oriented to a longer middle section. One end of the bar is pivotally mounted on a first wall of the shower so that the bar may move between a non-use-position in which the bar is substantially parallel and adjacent to the first shower wall, and a use-position in which the bar lies across the shower entrance approximately perpendicular to the shower walls. The distal end of the bar has a friction-reducing roller to facilitate contact and movement of the distal end against the curtain along the surface of the opposing shower wall. A clip is provided for mounting on the first shower wall above the hinge for capturing and holding the distal end of the bar when the brace is in its non-use-position.
