  • Patent number: 11952100
Abstract: A joint for connecting a center wing box to a bulkhead of an aircraft. The joint includes a flex angle member with a first section shaped to abut against and be connected to the center wing box, a second section shaped to abut against and be connected to a first side of the deck of the bulkhead, and an intermediate rounded corner positioned between the first and second sections. First support members are attached to the center wing box at first pins and support a first side of the second section of the flex angle member. Second support members are attached to the web of the bulkhead at second pins and support a second side of the second section of the flex angle member. The first support members are positioned on a first side of the deck of the bulkhead and the second support members are positioned on an opposing second side of the deck.

  • Publication number: 20230005696
Abstract: A vacuum tube insert assembly includes a flared insert piece having an annular flange and a stem each constructed of glass. The stem extends axially from the flange. The flange surrounds a perimeter edge of a plug concavity defined by the stem. Feed-through pins pass axially through the stem and are sealed thereto. The pins terminate inside of the concavity to form a plug. A socket connects to the plug within the concavity and includes receptacles that removably couple to the pins, with an engagement feature preventing erroneous plug and socket connections. A method includes axially inserting the pins through the stem at a fixed relative position such that the pins are arranged within the plug concavity, sealing the stem such that the stem is vacuum-sealed to the pins, thereby forming the plug, and removably coupling mating receptacles of the socket to the pins.

  • Publication number: 20060101968
Abstract: A trunnion system for a table saw assembly. In an exemplary embodiment, the trunnion system includes a first mounting bracket and a second mounting bracket for mounting the trunnion system to a frame of the table saw assembly. Further, a first trunnion and a second trunnion for allowing a saw blade disposed within the table saw assembly to rotate to different bevel angles is included. The first trunnion being operationally coupled to the first mounting bracket and the second trunnion being operationally coupled to the second mounting bracket. The mounting of the first and second mounting brackets to the frame of the table saw assembly allows the trunnion system to rest upon the frame of the table saw assembly.

  • Patent number: 5615986
Abstract: A binding machine is described for use in uncoiling the fingers of a binding comb (50), preparatory to an insertion of the fingers (54) of the comb into the apertures (48) provided in a packet or stack of sheets (46) to be bound together. The machine comprises a housing (6) supported for rectilinear reciprocal movement a drive plate (8), said drive plate being provided adjacent opposite side edges with a series of aperture (10), affording a rack, engageable by respective pinions (12) of the machine. The housing (6) is provided with a plurality of fixed abutment elements (28), a clamping member (16) being mounted on the housing for movement between a retracted position and an advanced position, in which advanced position clamping elements (18) of the clamping member are disposed closely adjacent to fixed abutment elements (28), to clamp the spine (52) of a binding comb therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5168585
Abstract: A bath lift, for raising and lowering an invalid or disabled user out of and into a bath tub, comprises a seat member which is suspended at each side on flexible supporting tapes. The seat member is supported by the tapes through hinged side plates which extend downwardly from the seat member when the latter is in a raised position but which are collapsed below the seat member when the latter is in the fully-lowered position. Thus the seat member when fully lowered is close to the bottom of the bath tub whereas, when fully raised, it is suspended on the tapes above the level of the rim of the bath tub.
