  • Publication number: 20040261636
Abstract: A stencil used for printing solder paste on a contact pad of a printed wiring board has interior surfaces that define one or more apertures through the stencil. Those interior surfaces are coated with a material, such as parylene, having a lower surface tension than the interior surfaces absent the coating. The stencil can also have one or more reverse-tapered apertures passing there through, wherein the apertures have a variable cross-section that is larger at the fill side of the stencil (i.e., where solder paste enters the apertures) than at the board side of the stencil (i.e., where the stencil contacts the contact pad of the printed wiring board). Solder paste can be printed through the aperture(s) of the stencil onto contact pads on a printed wiring board.

  • Publication number: 20040030922
Abstract: A network system and methodology wherein a site is provided on a network for containing the SNMP community data strings of various network entities, such as MFP devices. Client applications seeking use of one or more of these entities are self-equipped to issue an authentication identifying themselves, after which they receive, from the appropriate site, relevant SNMP community data-string information.

  • Publication number: 20020112037
Abstract: A method for network printing. The method includes activating an interface between a document processing device and a workstation, providing at least one user interface to a user at the workstation. The interface allows the user to select operational settings for the document-processing device. The system then generates a document data file in accordance with the operational settings and communicates a location of the document data file and any auxiliary information to the document-processing device. This activates a document-processing job. The interface then receives a completion message upon completion of the document-processing job.

  • Patent number: 6406206
Abstract: The present invention provides an applicator for applying and distributing a substance onto a target surface. The applicator comprises a substantially planar sheet of compressible, conformable material having opposed first and second surfaces and an interior region between said first and second surfaces. The applicator further includes at least one discrete reservoir underneath the first surface which is at least partially filled with a substance and at least one discrete aperture formed in the first surface which is in fluid communication with the reservoir. Compression of the applicator via an externally-applied force substantially normal to said first surface expresses product from the aperture and translational motion of the first surface relative to a target surface applies, and distributes said product onto the target surface. In one embodiment, an applicator provides a removable cover sheet which aids in the containment of the substance.

  • Patent number: 6349510
Abstract: A single transportable oversized or extended support base is provided for a conventional equipment shelter and the associated power source. The shelter and power source are separately affixed to the base while at the place of manufacturing to form a transportable unitary shelter facility that is easily and efficiently installed at the use site. Such combination avoids the additional labor and expense associated with installing equipment such as a generator in a separate room within the building because it eliminates the need for the extra door, and larger wall, roof, and floor panels, ventilation systems, environmental controls and related items.

  • Patent number: 5973229
Abstract: The cDNA encoding safener binding protein (SafBP), also referred to as SBP1, is set forth in FIG. 5 and SEQ ID No. 1. The deduced amino acid sequence is provided in FIG. 5 and SEQ ID No. 2. Methods of making and using SBP1 and SafBP to alter a plant's sensitivity to certain herbicides or a plant's responsiveness to certain safeners are also provided, as well as expression vectors, transgenic plants or other organisms transfected with said vectors and seeds from said plants.

  • Patent number: 5490804
Abstract: A marine propulsion unit is disclosed which has an exteriorly accessible clean-out capability. The unit has an impeller housing located outside of the transom of a marine craft in which the unit is installed, which impeller housing has a separable portion that permits access to the main passage including the impeller when separated. The design also permits insertion of a hose connected fitting for backflushing the cooling system of the power head of the unit.
