  • Patent number: 9611598
Abstract: A hollow marker post and a resilient member located therein wherein the resilient member is statically dependent of the hollow marker post with the marker post and the resilient member dynamically dependent of each other to facilitate the return of the marker post to an upright condition when the marker post is impacted by an external force.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 12, 2016
Date of Patent: April 4, 2017
    Inventor: Scott D. Landes

  • Patent number: 8814475
Abstract: A flange free, semi-rigid resilient, hollow, dock fender having a skeletal triangular shape with a set of radiused edges and end fasteners to support the dock fender as the dock fender longitudinally and transversely distorts and flexes to distribute an impact force to protect objects proximate either side of an impact area on the dock fender with the skeletal triangular shape enabling use of low cost manufacturing techniques to form the dock fender from semi-rigid materials where the shape of the dock fender rather than the compressibility of the material of the dock fender enables the dock fender to absorb repeated impacts without damage to the dock fender and the securement of a hanger to end caps to a dock fender allows the dock fender to be used as a hanging dock fender, which inhibits rotation of the dock fender during an impact or the dock fender where the dock fender may or may not be in kit form.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 2010
Date of Patent: August 26, 2014

  • Patent number: 8397944
Abstract: A storage mailing tube having an elongated housing and a hand removable end cap with a rib positioned so as to facilitate hand alignment of the cap while at the same time forming limited frictional engagement sufficient to retain the end cap on the storage mailing tube during handling or transporting the storage mailing tube while allowing a user to access a document or item therein by hand removal of the end cap.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 18, 2004
Date of Patent: March 19, 2013
    Inventor: Scott D. Landes
  • Patent number: 7025016
Abstract: An anchoring marker post comprising a hollow elongated member, the elongated member composed of a flexibly resilient polymer plastic and having a first end and a second end, integrally attached to the elongated member is a set of anchoring flaps, the anchoring flaps located proximate the second end of the elongated member, attaching each of the anchoring flaps to the elongated member is a flexible living hinge, the flexible living hinge allowing the anchoring flaps to be moveable from a first closed position to facilitate the handling and transportation of the marker post to a second open position to prevent the withdrawal of the elongated member from an embedded position.

  • Patent number: 6158919
Abstract: A marker post having a breachable coating for providing a visual indication of the presence of an object, with the marker post comprised of glass fibers supported in a resin containing a secondary pigment to provide an internal color to the marker post, and with the breachable coating containing an ultraviolet blocking agent, with the breachable coating having a principle pigment of a color that is the same or substantially the same color as the secondary pigment in the resin so that in the event the breachable coating having the principle color pigment is breached, the underlying secondary pigment in the resin will be visible through the breached coating so that a viewer observing the marker post from a distance will see the marker post as one color even though two distinct surfaces of the marker post are exposed.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6099203
Abstract: A marker post formed of a resilient materiel which is normally bendable without breaking, with the resilient material arranged in a triangular cross shape with internal webs therein to impart sufficient rigidity to the marker post to enable the marker post to be driven into most soils with the internal webs coacting to provide a restoring force to enable the marker post under many field conditions to return to a normally straight condition.

  • Patent number: 4953674
Abstract: A garment bag apparatus including a pouch for storing a collapsible garment bag carrier when not in use and a garment bag carrier storable within the pouch when not in use with the garment bag carrier including an interior compartment to hold miscellaneous items and a folded garment bag with the garment bag carrier including openings to permit the straps and handles of the garment bag to be extended through the openings so the traveler can carry the garment bag in a conventional manner. Closures on the garment bag carrier permit the handles and strap of the garment bag to be inserted into the garment bag carrier to permit the garment bag carrier to be used like a conventional suitcase when transferring the garment bag carrier from one destination to another.
