Publication number: 20240175297Abstract: A door lock chassis has a gauge insert that defines different dimensions corresponding to different door thicknesses. The gauge insert is positionable in the lock chassis in different orientations corresponding to the different dimensions used to align the lock chassis for different door thicknesses. Additionally, a door lock may include an anti-rotation assembly for preventing rotation of the lock chassis. The anti-rotation assembly may include a retention member that is secured to an inside hub of a lock chassis. As an anti-rotation member is displaced in a first axial direction along the inside hub to a mount position, the anti-rotational member may deflect resilient members of the retention member. With the anti-rotation member at the mounted position, the anti-rotation member may be in a frictional engagement with the previously deflected resilient members so that anti-rotation member is retained at the mount position.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2023Publication date: May 30, 2024Inventors: Brian E. Walls, Rich D. Shelinbarger, Scott D. Welsby, Peter Malenkovic

Patent number: 11702862Abstract: A plug assembly including a plug, a sidebar movably mounted on the plug, and a plurality of rack pins seated in the plug. The sidebar is biased to an outer position in which the sidebar extends beyond an outer surface of the plug. Each rack pin includes a key-following leg and a sidebar-engaging leg. The sidebar-engaging leg includes at least one true gate. When a true gate of each rack pin is aligned with the sidebar, the sidebar is free to move radially inward to an inner position.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2020Date of Patent: July 18, 2023Assignee: Schlage Lock Company LLCInventors: Brian E. Patent number: 8939477Abstract: A lock assembly that has a locked state and an unlocked state. The lock assembly includes a latch assembly that has a latch and a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism includes a first retractor that is movable in response to movement of an interior handle assembly and selectively in response to movement of the exterior handle assembly, and a second retractor that is movable in response to movement of the interior handle assembly and the exterior handle assembly. The first retractor is always engaged with the latch assembly to move the latch between the extended position and the retracted position. The second retractor is selectively disengaged from the latch assembly and is movable relative to the first retractor when the lock assembly is in the locked state.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2011Date of Patent: January 27, 2015Assignee: Schlage Lock CompanyInventors: Scott D. Patent number: 4846714Abstract: A male quick disconnect SMA connector is provided which may be easily and readily installed on any existing female SMA connector by simply installing an adapter ring. The male SMA connector includes an inner sub-assembly comprised of an inner housing having a hermetically glass sealed male connector pin extending therefrom. An outer housing is received over the inner sub-assembly and a compressive spring is positioned in a cavity between the inner and outer housings. An insert is provided to the front of the outer housing. The insert includes several recesses for retaining rolling locking pins therein. These locking pins are raised when the outer housing is retracted (thereby compressing the spring) in a first direction. Thereafter, the locking pins are lowered into retaining openings in an adapter ring on the female SMA by releasing the outer housing to its original orientation with respect to the inner housing.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1988Date of Patent: July 11, 1989Assignee: Kaman Instrumentation CorporationInventors: Scott D.
