Publication number: 20230076994Abstract: A container for a plurality of articles comprising a main body, a hollow member fixedly coupled to an end of the main body and a cup member movably coupled to the hollow member. When the cup member is in an open position the cup member and the hollow member are spaced defining an opening. A slider is movably coupled to the cup member. The slider has a spring, such that when the slider is moved relative to the cup member in a radial direction the slider carries an article towards the opening and the spring on the slider is flexed. After dispensing, the spring gradually relaxes, resetting the slider.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2022Publication date: March 9, 2023Inventors: Scott David Hochberg, Brian David Andres, Kyle William Harris, Nicole Alisa Renee Lockett Turner, Matthew John Boehm, Christian Alexander Zipperer, Geoffrey Allen King

Patent number: 11524836Abstract: A container for a plurality of articles comprising a main body, a hollow member fixedly coupled to an end of the main body, a cup member rotatably coupled to the hollow member, and a cam arm received within the hollow member and the cup member. The hollow member and the cup member define a dispensing opening. The cup member comprises a base portion defining a grooved track facing the end of the main body. The cam arm is configured to engage a bottom article from the plurality of articles and comprises a protrusion movably engaged with the grooved track. The cam arm moves relative to the hollow member, due to a relative rotation between the hollow member and the cup member, to a dispensing position in which the bottom article at least partially extends through the dispensing opening and is removable from the container.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2021Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Scott David Hochberg, Brian David Andres, Kyle William Harris, Nicole Alisa Renee Lockett Turner, Matthew John Boehm, Christian Alexander Zipperer

Patent number: 11315716Abstract: An apparatus and method for magnetizing a magnetizable ink. The apparatus can include a first pair of first and second cylindrical magnetic arrays defining a first gap. The first and second cylindrical magnetic arrays can each have alternately spaced magnetized sections that are spaced apart axially by flux conducting elements. The apparatus can include a second pair of third and fourth cylindrical magnetic arrays defining a second gap. The third and fourth cylindrical magnetic arrays can each have alternately spaced magnetized sections that are spaced apart axially by flux conducting elements. The apparatus can include a third pair of fifth and sixth cylindrical magnetic arrays defining a third gap. The fifth and sixth magnetic array can have alternately spaced magnetized sections that are spaced apart axially by flux conducting elements. The cylindrical magnetic arrays can be positioned to receive a moving web substrate through the first, second, and third gaps.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: April 26, 2022Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventor: Scott David Hochberg

Patent number: 11198541Abstract: A package with magnetic closure portions. The package can include a first flexible polymeric sidewall and a second flexible polymeric sidewall. The first and second flexible polymeric sidewalls can be joined by opposing first and second sides and a bottom portion and together defining an access opening. A first magnetic region can be disposed on the first sidewall. A second magnetic region can be disposed on the first sidewall. A third magnetic region can be disposed on the second sidewall. A fourth magnetic region can be disposed on the second sidewall. The first and third magnetic regions can be magnetically engageable with a magnetic force to urge at least a portion of the first and second sidewalls into contacting relationship, and the second and fourth magnetic regions can be magnetically engageable with a magnetic force to urge at least a portion of the first and second sidewalls into contacting relationship.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Scott David Hochberg, Edward Daniel Theiss, III

Patent number: 10994919Abstract: A package for dispensing a fluent material contained in the package. The package can include a first polymeric sidewall having a first perimeter and a second polymeric sidewall having a second perimeter, the first and second polymeric sidewalls being joined at least along a portion of the first and second perimeters to define a flexible pouch having an interior compartment for a contained fluent material in an equilibrium pressure state. An opening permits fluid communication through the first opening upon the contained fluent material being in a positive pressure state greater than the equilibrium pressure state. The opening can have a magnetic valve, the magnetic valve having a first magnetic region and an opposing second magnetic region. The first magnetic region and second magnetic region can be in a separable magnetically contacting state to alternately permit and prevent fluid communication of the fluent material.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Scott David Hochberg, Kenneth Stephen McGuire

Patent number: 10994895Abstract: A flexible package that can include first and second sidewalls. The first and second sidewalls being joined by a bottom portion and seams that define first and second sides. The package can have an opening opposite the bottom portion, a first plurality of magnetic regions, and a second plurality of magnetic regions. The first plurality of magnetic regions can be disposed on the first sidewall near the opening and include discrete magnetic regions. A second plurality of magnetic regions can be disposed on the second sidewall near the access opening and include opposed discrete magnetic regions. The second plurality of magnetic regions being opposite the first plurality of magnetic regions. The discrete magnetic regions and the opposed discrete magnetic regions can be magnetically engageable with a magnetic force to close the opening of the package in a configuration having M petals, where M is an integer from 2 to 8.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Scott David Hochberg, Michael Matthew Satkowski
