  • Patent number: 12477984
Abstract: An agricultural system for determining a header throughput of a harvester includes a header having a frame and an auger assembly supported relative to the frame. The auger assembly includes an auger configured to direct a flow of harvested materials through the header, and an auger support assembly, the auger support assembly having an auger support member configured to support the auger relative to the frame, with the auger being rotatable relative to the auger support member. The agricultural system further includes a sensor associated with the auger assembly, where the sensor is configured to generate data associated with a load-related parameter of the auger support assembly. Additionally, the agricultural system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the sensor and configured to receive the data generated by the sensor and to determine a header throughput based at least in part on the data.

  • Publication number: 20250351778
Abstract: A progressive sieve assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes a sieve having a frame, a first subset of louvers that are pivotably connected to the frame, and a second subset of louvers that are also pivotably connected to the frame. The second subset of louvers are positioned downstream of the first subset of louvers as viewed in a direction of travel of grain across the sieve assembly. The first subset of louvers are configured to pivot independently of the second subset of louvers, and the second subset of louvers are configured to pivot independently of the first subset of louvers.

  • Patent number: 12408590
Abstract: A cutter bar assembly for an agricultural vehicle header includes a cutter bar supported by movable arms extending from a header frame and capable of operation in flex and rigid modes. The support arms are joined to the header frame such that they may be displaced from a raised position in the rigid mode when subjected to a lifting force due to striking an obstacle without damage to the header structure. Also, an agricultural vehicle header and an agricultural combine harvester includes the cutter bar assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240321085
Abstract: A combine harvester with a chopper for chopping residue straw, and a spreader system for spreading the chopped residue straw in an area behind the combine harvester. The combine harvester further includes a radar-based residue monitoring system for monitoring a spreading distribution of the chopped residue straw. A controller is configured to receive sensor signals from one or more radar sensors of the radar-based residue monitoring system, to detect a presence of the nearby vehicle based on the received sensor signals, and to generate a warning signal in dependence of the presence of the nearby vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240032468
Abstract: An agricultural system for determining the throughput of a header configured for use with a harvester may include a frame and a material transfer device configured to direct a flow of harvested materials through the header, with the material transfer device being supported relative to the frame. The agricultural system may further include a sensor having a field of view directed toward the flow of harvested materials through the header, with the sensor being configured to generate data indicative of an amount of harvested materials being directed through the header. Additionally, the agricultural system may include a computing system communicatively coupled to the sensor, with the computing system being configured to receive the data generated by the sensor and determine a header throughput based at least in part on the data.

  • Patent number: 11617305
Abstract: A crop ramp for use in a combine header is provided. The crop ramp includes a flat section, a curved section, and a flange. The flat section facilitates coupling the crop ramp to a cutterbar of the combine header. The curved section extends from the flat section. The curved section is configured to facilitate transfer of crop to a belt system of the combine header. The crop is transferred in a first direction defined from the flat section to the curved section. The flange extends from the curved section. The flange is configured to hover above the belt system of the combine header to prevent dirt from flowing in a second direction which is opposite to the first direction.
