Abstract: A battery pack having a battery module with a bottom surface and a top surface is provided. The battery module includes a plurality of flow channels extending through the battery module from the top surface to the bottom surface. The battery pack includes a base assembly adapted to hold the battery module therein. The base assembly has a bottom wall and a first end and a second end. The bottom surface of the battery module is disposed at an acute angle relative to the bottom wall of the base assembly in a first direction extending from the first end toward the second end. The battery pack includes a cover assembly having a top wall extending substantially parallel to the bottom wall of the base assembly, and a top surface of the battery module that is disposed at an acute angle relative to the top wall of the cover assembly.

Abstract: A battery cell assembly includes a pouch-type battery cell having a battery member, an external housing, and first and second electrical terminals. The external housing has a central housing portion and a peripheral lip member extending around a periphery of the central housing portion. The central housing portion encloses the battery member therein. The first and second electrical terminals are electrically coupled to the battery member and extend outwardly from the peripheral lip member. The assembly further includes a first tube disposed against the peripheral lip member of the external housing. The peripheral lip member extends around the first tube such that the first tube is at least partially disposed within a first interior region defined by the peripheral lip member.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and a data storage device are provided for implementing drive list mode for read and write transfers on a recordable surface of a storage device. Drive List mode provides a queue in a linked list to chain together multiple independent transfers on a single track. The multiple drive independent transfers include at least one of sequential transfers, near-sequential transfers, and random transfers on the single track. A drive list mode transfer of multiple independent transfers on the single track is enabled in one disk revolution, and requiring a single hardware setup for the drive list mode transfer.
