  • Patent number: 9545094
Abstract: A fast closing remotely activated animal trap gate includes a gate with a wire mesh and a frame to hold the gate, with the gate moving within the frame between an open position and a closed position. A cable, interacting with a system of weight-reducing pulley wheels, holds the gate within the frame in an open position, and a release rod holds the cable in place. The release rod is retracted in order to allow release of the cable and consequent movement of the gate from the open position to the closed position. In some embodiments, low friction ball-bearing trolley wheels assist in the fast, downward fall of the gate.

  • Publication number: 20160097625
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an adjustable instrument for the measuring, determining and marking of two or more horizontal or vertical points that allow precise spacing, alignment and leveling between points on a surface. The instrument includes a flexible tape strip member with markings to indicate distance measurements, a level member attached parallel to the length of the tape strip, a fastening member such as thumbtacks which serve to mark the tape strip member at various positions to indicate the desired spacing or distance between points and further serves to mark the position of the points. The tape strip member is used to measure the desired spacing between points. The fastening member is then used to pierce the tape strip, thereby marking the position of the points. The tape strip member with the attached fastening members are then taken to a surface such as a wall where one of the fastening members is driven into the wall.

  • Patent number: 8361583
Abstract: A welded joint for structural component having two or more portions fused together at a weld line. An adhesive layer is placed between the two or more portions at the location of the weld line and a conductor is placed between the two or more portions in operable contact with the adhesive. Energy is transmitted through the conductor and into the adhesive layer to activate the adhesive layer and create the weld line that defines the welded joints between the two or more portions. The welded joint of the structural component allows energy to be injected into the adhesive layer via the conductor in order to cause the adhesive layer to activate from the inside of the adhesive outward. The conductor can be placed adjacent the adhesive layer or within the adhesive layer in order to cause the adhesive to be activated from the inside outward.
