  • Patent number: 11964062
Abstract: An antimicrobial device, such as a flashlight, lantern, or lamp, is discussed herein. The antimicrobial device produces light in the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum (i.e., 150-250 nm), including 200-230 nm. The antimicrobial device includes an electron source, an extractor, and a target material. The electron source provides the electrons of sufficient energy to cause a photon to be released, whether by a target or by the electron itself. The extractor extracts the electrons from the electron source. The target material is a component at which the electron is directed. The target material can release a photon having a desired wavelength or within a desired wavelength range or cause the electron to release a photon having a desired wavelength or within a desired wavelength range.

  • Publication number: 20240127451
Abstract: Described herein are methods and computer systems for classification of CD8 T-cell topology using a patient response-based linear cutoff model. A plurality of histology images of tissue samples in a plurality of patients are received by a computer system. An image analysis of the plurality of histology images is performed to obtain a CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma in each of the plurality of histology images. Real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores are determined based on a polar coordinate transformation of the CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma. Based on the real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores, a feature space is generated, and linear boundaries or linear cutoffs between a plurality of classifications in the feature space are identified based on the real inflammation scores, the tumor infiltration scores, and patient response data.

Abstract: A syringe stabilizing apparatus has a base and a syringe support. The syringe support is vertically disposed above the base, elevating a fluid-filled portion of an infusion set vertically above the base and orienting a delivery end of the fluid-filled portion upwardly relative to a horizontal plane to take advantage of a gravitational effect on a fluid during delivery of the fluid from the fluid-filled portion to a patient. The syringe support comprises a first retainer and a selectively actuated tube clamp. The first retainer has an opening in which a rigid portion of the infusion set is received and retained therein without further user intervention. The selectively actuated tube clamp is operatively aligned with the first retainer. A flexible tube extending from the rigid portion of the infusion set extends through the selectively actuated tube clamp.

  • Publication number: 20240118260
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for long read, label-free, optical nanopore long chain molecule sequencing. In general, the present disclosure describes a novel sequencing technology based on the integration of nanochannels to deliver single long-chain molecules with widely spaced (>wavelength), ˜1-nm aperture “tortuous” nanopores that slow translocation sufficiently to provide massively parallel, single base resolution using optical techniques. A novel, directed self-assembly nanofabrication scheme using simple colloidal nanoparticles is used to form the nanopore arrays atop nanochannels that unfold the long chain molecules. At the surface of the nanoparticle array, strongly localized electromagnetic fields in engineered plasmonic/polaritonic structures allow for single base resolution using optical techniques.
