  • Publication number: 20230040113
Abstract: A position fix identifying a geographic location of a receiver is received. The position fix was generated using signals received at the receiver from respective high-altitude signal sources (such as satellites). Imagery of a geographic area that includes the geographic location is also received. The imagery is automatically processed to determine whether one or more of the high-altitude signal sources were occluded from the geographic location when the position fix was generated. In response to determining that one or more of the high-altitude signal sources were occluded from the geographic location when the position fix was generated, the position fix is identified as being potentially erroneous.

  • Patent number: 10285582
Abstract: An imaging device for imaging an eye includes an eyepiece, an illumination system, an imaging system, and a controller. The illumination system includes a light source that emits illumination light along an illumination path through the eyepiece to the eye to produce a retinal diffuse reflection and a corneal specular reflection. The imaging system includes a first camera that captures a retinal image based on the retinal diffuse reflection and a first set of optical elements, a second camera that captures a corneal specular reflection image based on the corneal specular reflection and a second set of optical elements. The first camera captures at least some residual corneal specular reflection in the retinal image. The controller subtracts the residual corneal specular reflection from the retinal image based on the corneal specular reflection image.

  • Patent number: 9756260
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for simulating different types of camera lens on a device by guiding a user through a set of images to be captured in connection with one or more desired lens effects. In one aspect, a wide-angle lens may be simulated by taking a plurality of images that have been taken at a particular location over a set of camera orientations that are determined based on the selection of the wide-angle lens. The mobile device may provide prompts to the user indicating the camera orientations for which images should be captured in order to generate the simulated camera lens effect.

  • Patent number: 9582731
Abstract: Implementations relate to detecting spherical images. In some implementations, a computer-executed method includes obtaining an image, examining at least one characteristic of the image, and determining that the image is a spherical image based on the at least one examined characteristic. The method modifies metadata associated with the image to designate the image for spherical display.

  • Patent number: 9291460
Abstract: Directions are provided to a location in an indoor space in response to receiving a request from a mobile device. First, a map of the indoor space is processed to identify navigable areas in the indoor space. A distance transform is then executed on the map as part of a process to generate a directed graph. The directed graph includes nodes that correspond to points in the indoor space and paths that correspond to routes between the nodes. Next, a navigation table is generated based on the directed graph to identify a shortest route from each node to at least one other node. In response to a request for directions to a location in the indoor space, the navigation table is accessed to identify a route to the requested location. The identified route is then provided to a mobile device such that an end user may navigate to the location.
