Abstract: An apparatus and method for a wagering game with multiple outcomes where losing outcomes award the player with buildable segments that can be added together over a sequence of games to produce free spins. Once a free spin is awarded, the cycle starts over again. The wagering game is offered on electronic gaming machines such as slot machines and video poker machines, but may also be deployed in other forms such as on a general purpose computing device or mobile telephone in stand-alone form or connected to a network, such as the internet.
